I am writing a review because of my experience with K&G's towing company. I went into the store on 10/4. While inside, I realized the time and walked out of the store to cross my son across the street as he was getting off the bus as there was not a crossing guard at that time. As I was walking out of the lot, I saw a young man watching me from a car with two other individuals standing around a car but I didn't really pay it any mind, by the time I made it to the corner of 38th Street, the same young man approached me and said you left your car in the lot and they are "booting" it. I said "no, I'm coming back to finish shopping, I'm just crossing my son across the street." I immediately walked back to the lot with the young man, where my friend (he had been was inside shopping, came out and heard them say they were going to boot my car) was talking to them, letting them know I was coming right back, however they still booted my tire. I called the number for the towing company and was told once you leave the property they have the right to boot the car.
Costly lesson to learn ($198) for leaving off their premises for less than 5 minutes, but I will not be back. I feel like it's predatory to have individuals sitting in a car, recording the person as they leave, and then approach them as soon as the get off the property (as the other person is booting the vehicle) to let them know they have to pay for a boot removal. Luckily they didn't attach the sticker to my window. Another lady had the large violation sticker plastered across her driver's side window along...
Read moreAbout three months ago, I was visiting, when a dear Sisterfriend of mines suddenly passed. I wanted her dressed in a white dress for her homegoing service, and I knew K&G would have what I wanted! I walked into the store and immediately saw it on one of the stands. They just so happen to have one in her size, but it was a little different. The assistant was so helpful, she advised me to contact the funeral home to inquire of a procedure that would allow me to get a smaller size in the exact style of dress that I wanted. Also, my Mom mistakenly left her walker in the parking lot; she thought I put it in the car,, while I thought I saw her putting it into the car. We realized it about 20 min before store closing, and we would not make it back there in time. We called to see if someone had turned it in, and thankfully a great citizen had done so. Another store assistant told me to come, and they would wait. They waited as I came right over, then another assistant brought it to my car...they could've left as the store was closed, rightfully so, but they didn't and I'm so grateful! Great customer service on every level!!! Thank you, much...
Read moreI damn near lost my mind in this store. This store has something for EVERYONE!!! Some price could be better, and the discounts could be better. Maybe a points system for when you shop. Customer service started off shaky, telling a customer you don’t work in that section is so silly to me. Workers should have experience in EVERY department. And if I ask for a long skirt and you suggest something short and I say I don’t like it, there’s no need for you to ask me why, and then badger me with about 6 more follow up questions about why I don’t wear short skirts. Customer service requires tact. Then a lady named Ikeisha came to help me, she was a pro. She helped me get what I wanted, she made suggestions, when I didn’t like something she moved on to other things. We even chatted quite a bit, and I bought way more stuff than I went in for. This place is a gem, minus the...
