8/22 Updating my review with an exceptional experience. As I was headed to my home in Key Largo, I normally look at my Nest to set the temperature for the home from hold 80 degrees to a comfortable 75. However, I noticed it was 84 degrees. A sign something isn't right. I was on the road and had a 1:20 hour ride due to traffic. I called Rex Air, who have been servicing my A/c for years at 4:00pm on a Friday. Thinking "Good Luck". They answered the phone right away. I explained my issue thinking I would get push back due to the time/date. They immediately indicated they'd have someone there shortly and would report back. As I was in traffic about 40 minutes later I got a call from Roma, who's been to the house before doing maintenance and servicing the units, to let me know it as a capacitor that had charred, probably an electrical spike, and that he had replaced it and the a/c was running normal after checking everything else. WOW!!! I was still in traffic heading to KL and the a/c was working normally. What a relief. Great Service!! Great Attention!!! Great Job!!!!
Excellent Experience and Wonderful Results. Got home to see water on the first floor. Went upstairs and noticed that the a/c in the 2nd floor was leaking. Called Rex Air and upon answering the phone they noticed the urgency in my voice and the situation and within 1 1/2 hour they ha called be to let me know a technician was coming and the technician, Roma, was here. He immediately got to work and tested various options to see what was the issue. He identified the issue and immediately controlled the leakage. He coordinated the new part needed to fix the problem. I received a call from their offices letting me know by when the part would get here and the cost of the repairs ahead of time (no sticker shock). This was under warranty and they took care of everything. The repair has now been completed and I couldn't be happier with the response, the follow through, the service quality and the interaction with their technician, Roma, who kept me informed of everything he was doing and managing my expectations of completion. ...
   Read moreIf I could put no stars I would. On July 3rd I called for a tech to service my mini split as it was not blowing cold. The company was very professional in taking my call and getting a tech out ASAP. Tech arrived around 2pm, looked at my outside unit and didn’t even walk inside to check anything. Said he needed a tool from another tech. I left the trailer open and left to put gas. My trip to put gas was maybe 30 minutes at most. On my drive back my card was charged $256.35. Upon my return the tech was gone... I walk into my unit to find my bedroom mini split dripping water all over my mattress and the units still not blowing cold. I called the tech from the number they had been calling me from when he arrived and no answer, called several times and received the Rex voicemail. I called another tech a homeowner in the area knew who also services in key largo and he came out. He connected his tools and showed me how the unit was never loaded with the proper amount of free on. New tech did his thing and my air was cold again. I called the company once the holiday weekend was over to explain the situation and ask for a refund as services were not rendered only to have the service manager scold me. Told me how my unit wasn’t purchased from them, how I should have called him instead of the tech, kept interrupting me while I was explaining the timeline of events so he can understand the situation but didn’t want to hear me out. Crazy as I called just to service a unit. Do they complain to all customers that didn’t buy a unit from them? Called me 15 minutes after our call to refund me the cost of free on and charge me for the time tech came out. Admission of guilt? Probably noticed tech free on tank wasn’t used.    Read moreWow - what an awesome company!! Our Air conditioner conked out on Thursday night at 6:00 PM - still 92 degrees out. Called Rex Air after hours and Tommy (super nice and professional) was at our house by 6:30. Thorough diagnosis but system was shot (15 yo) - he got it to limp along a bit and made recommendations. Contacted via texted by Manager Doug Hunt (also, very nice, professional, and knowledgeable) next morning at 7:30 and on phone with him by 8:00. We discussed options and he was able to recommend an economical, appropriate system that was in stock. Even though we were experiencing a tremendous heat wave here in the keys, he was able to rework their schedule and get his team out at the beginning of the week to install. Levi, Alvin and Dima arrived Tuesday AM and had the unit installed in a few hours. Left the house spotless, and AC working perfectly - a very good and competent installation team. By mid afternoon, I had all my documentation from Doug along with all the information for the applicable rebates. I had to do was sign some documents and send it in to FKEC.
