Marker 88 Tiki Bar — Restaurant in Islamorada

Summary: We really enjoyed this bar & restaurant. Deffinitely recommend. Toilets were clean and nicely done up. Food was fantastic, absolutely amazing. Drinks were good too. Setting was amazing.

Detail: We were on our way down the keys and decided to stop. We booked for 11.15am but arrived at 11am. They took us in fine and it was relatively quiet.

The car park is gravely and shaded.

The actual setting and the decor is a 10/10 everything looked great.

The food was pretty much outstanding. It was fantastic actually. We all really enjoyed it. The steak sandwich was amazing. Served in about 20/30 mins.

Drinks were pricey I believe and the mai tai wasn't to my liking but its maybe personal preference.

If I was to recommend anything to the restaurant is to convert it to a beach club where you allow sunbathing. If you did this, and ran the restaurant alongside as it is now. We would have stayed literally all day and probably spent quadruple what we did. Its a lovely beach and I wish it was a beach club like location. Would have made it fantastic.

The only complaint I had for our visit was that the table was sat directly under a shedding tree and there was a lit of plants on the table. Some people would have really found this off putting but they moved us no problem.

This was the most atrocious meal experience of my entire life! We started out by meeting our waiter, a very high spirited woman! it was a great start, but it was all downhill from there. we ordered our drinks, and it took 30 minutes just for one coffee! then we ordered and i ordered a chicken salad. It took at least an hour for the food to come with many check ins from our waiter throwing the kitchen under the bus! I thought it was very rude on her part, but also the restaurants fault for opening knowing that their kitchen was understaffed . The runners did not know who anyone’s food was, and they didn’t even speak english when asked! They were out of wings, tenders, fries, and good attitudes! My salad did not come with chicken, my friends salad didn’t even come, and my sisters dinner was not even safe to eat. The chicken on my brothers salad was as wet as the toilet seat. And let me not forget the fact that the singer was so awful and tone deaf that it ruined an already terrible night! Thanks Mile Marker 88 for this experience! I certainly will...

Drove 2.5 hours from Davie to be greeted by a sign, "No walk-ins tables competely booked" The Hostess, Kayla was super apologetic and kept saying with the influx of Spring Breakers every table was spoken for. Heart sinking as we turned to leave, Kayla threw us a solid and said the bar is open and 1st come first serve! We went in an waited about 3 mins or so and the bartender, Rosa, comes by and said, what are you having? Wife got House special Margarita, it was perfection in a glass, i got my preferred bourbon, Bullitt and Coke. Jokingly, i said can we order something to snack on..her reply was we serve everything on the menu..2 orders of Painted tuna and rice..best part was after Kayla told us the pier was open we walked out and got pics, Rosa chased us down when our food was done! Not sure what others have experienced, but ours was done to perfection. Long review but know staff, food, atmosphere, and incredible sunset await!! If you are heading to the keys, this is a must stop for anyone, oh yeah pet friendly and the kiddos we saw loved the little...
