My almost 8 year old dog has been going here since she was 1 year old off and on. It used to be great, she would come home happy and relaxed. I now have 3 dogs. One of my dogs just had to go through the trial day of daycare to be able to be boarded and I had to pay for it. Back when I first started and even when I took my Corgi there for the first time in 2021 I didn’t have to pay for the trial day because it’s something that they require. Nonetheless I paid for it, only to get a text several days later asking if I paid because they never closed the order out. I also wrote a note and put it in their bag on how I feed my dogs and according to the pup dates I received and what was told to me at pick up they did not follow it and it seemed they didn’t even read it. But all of that is trivial to what I’m going through now. Like I said 8 year old female pitbull has been going there for off and on for 7 years, she’s also been to other boarding facilities before as well. She is obviously up to date on ALL her vaccines and when I picked her up along with my other two dogs at 7:30Am on 7/23 she has been hacking and vomiting white foamy vomit almost non stop for over 12 hrs. She’s shivering, she doesn’t even get up to throw up anymore, she’s throwing up on herself, she doesn’t want to get up to go pee or anything. She looks absolutely miserable and I knew from the moment they handed her to me when she wasn’t her normal super excited self, but at first I chalked it up to her being tired from playing, but then the hacking and vomiting started. I messaged Fuzz about it almost immediately once we were home and no response. The vet diagnosed her with kennel cough, luckily my other two dogs have not showed any signs of feeling ill (yet) but my dog who is sick has been boarded, day care, dog parks, interactions with other dogs on a regular basis for 8 years and has never once gotten sick. I absolutely hate seeing her this way and I’m just praying she feels better soon and my other two don’t start feeling bad either. I’m exhausted from the constant cleaning of vomit I’ve been having to do after coming home from a very long trip and being up for 36 hours as well as just trying to make her comfortable. This has made it very hard for me to ever want to return back to Fuzz, I could tell they have went downhill since I originally started taking her there but this will make me question ever boarding any of my dogs at any facility. I know kennel cough is highly contagious and that dogs can get it even if vaccinated but I just feel like there were several opportunities to let me know something was wrong and to also respond to my email I sent of her being sick and asking if there was any other dogs that had become sick or if there was anyway she could have ingested something because that would determine treatment, and it’s important to know not just for her but for all the dogs in the facility. I’m just heartbroken that she’s feeling so sick and there’s not much I can do to make her...
Read moreThis place was recommended to me by people who have said good things about it. I spent some time getting my dog up to date on vaccinations and making sure she met all of the requirements for her first day. My dog gets along with others at the dog park which we go to often.
I scheduled her first day and brought her in. The lady at the front just asked who the dog was and then took her on her leash to the back without any questions. She let her off leash and walked away. About 20-30 dogs swarmed my dog which would be intense for any dog when they are alone for their first time at day care. I could see a big dog that looked like a chow was barking at her while she was cornered and the worker was still just walking away.
Then she turned around and came back and brought her back out front and said she was growling and showing her teeth so they can’t accept her. They didn’t ask me to come to the back with her so she felt comfortable for her first time or offer her treats or anything, didn’t even intervene when my dog was getting cornered. I would not recommend this place at all they seemed very dismissive and like they didn’t care about the dogs wellbeing to take them away from their owner and let 30 dogs swarm them on their very first visit like that. My mind is actually blown that this is how they do introductions for the first time, they just let your dog go in a new environment and walk away and let them fend for themselves. Any dog would be defensive in...
Read moreAll three of my dogs love it here and are well taken care of. I use daycare regularly (about 1 day per week) and my two younger dogs come home tired and happy, especially when the weather has been too yucky for us to be outside much. I have used the boarding services a few times, as well, and all three dogs come home tired but not overly stressed, and all three of them actually eat when they are boarded! I attribute that partially to their familiarity with the facility and staff, but also to the fact that they are kept busy and stimulated through the daytime with other happy dogs. I’ve only had one doggie injury (my jack russell who hates crates rubbed his nose a little raw while boarding), but it healed quickly and I was fully informed when picking him up (he would do the same thing at home if he were crated!). My girls like to get dirty and occasionally they come home a little muddy or my poop roller has poop on her collar, but they do the same thing at the dog park and she can be super sneaky about it. I have been very happy with Fuzzz Playground over the past year and will be sad when my schedule changes in March and I won’t be able to take them! I will encourage you guys to extend earlier morning hours and evening pick up time slightly to accommodate the new hospital’s shift schedule of 7-7:30. I will now be starting work at 7 am, so a drop off time of 7 am will not be possible. Thank you for taking good care of...
