Martin Appliance — Local services in Jackson Township

Over the past several years, I purchased my Speed Queen washer/dryer, a complete Kinetico water softening system, a Kinetico R/O system, and most recently a new Miele dishwasher from Martin's. Their technicians change my R/O filters each year. I continue to be impressed by both the sales associates, as well as, with the service technicians at Martin's. They hire really good people. With my most recent experience, my sales associate was Garrett Kickery. Gary is knowledge about the products that he sells. He was patient with all of my questions (...and I always have a lot of questions,) he explained the features of the various dishwashers, and he demonstrated how they worked. I felt that it allowed me to make the best decision to meet my needs. He also efficiently arranged for installation, and afterwards accommodated a schedule change that I requested because of my unpredictable schedule. Joel and Austin hauled that dishwasher up twelve outdoor steps (and hauled the old one out...) on the hottest day of the year, without complication or complaint. They removed a wooden cabinet panel from my old dishwasher and installed it on the new dishwasher in their truck, so as to keep my kitchen clean. They were very careful moving everything on my ridiculously expensive tile floors, which I was very concerned about. Joel explained the operation of the dishwasher, gave me pointers concerning its use, and made sure that the electronics were properly set, and that there was no leaking. Joel and Austin were professional and personable. Like Gary, they kindly listened to my concerns and answered my questions. I also must shout-out to Martin's HR department...you guys certainly know your stuff when it comes to hiring people. To anyone reading this review, from a very "picky" consumer, you can't go wrong with Martin's for sales and service. They are the best! Thanks Gary, Joel, Austin and Martin's...another customer...

Our ancient Miele dishwasher had a catastrophic event. Dylan Baxter was sent by Miele & Martin's. He diagnosed the problem very carefully and took a great deal of time to ensure that his diagnosis was correct. He was masked, had booties on and laid down a hard plastic mat to protect my floors which he covered with a large absorbent pad.

He then told us how expensive the repair parts/labor would be. It was a significant amount but much less than replacing the dishwasher. We agreed to replace the parts. He left us his email and told us the parts would be ordered by the end of the day.

Unfortunately, some of the parts had to come from Germany so there was a longer wait. I emailed Dylan to see how long it would take for the parts to be delivered and if we could move our appointment up.

He replied that evening and regretfully told me that we couldn't move the appointment up but that the parts were en route.

He arrived on time and was again masked and wearing booties and put down the protective pads. The repair took a really long time and I watched most of it out of curiosity. He took his time and was very careful to drain and clean everything he handled.

He was also very pleasant to talk to and didn't seem to mind chatting with me which I appreciated.

The washer is as good as new and actually cleans better than it had for a little while, no doubt because the parts were breaking down.

Martin’s Appliance in Ephrata walks the walk in terms of price, professionalism and service.

I purchased a new dishwasher from Martin’s Appliance as ours had stopped functioning. Dale was very helpful and professional. He listened and asked a lot of good questions in helping us find the right dishwasher, both in needed functioning and cost (we bought one on sale at a good price). I received two calls both confirming delivery date and time. After these calls, I had to change the time of delivery due to a conflict. Martin’s was able to switch times that day at late notice.

Dan and Eric called prior to coming out to our place and delivered, and installed the dishwasher. They are both very professional in demeanor and in action. They made sure to protect my kitchen floor and entry ways in removing the old dishwasher and bringing in the new one. There was an issue with the circuit breaker. Both Dan and Eric are very safety conscious and did not rush the job, but took their time to make sure that there were no problems. The dishwasher was expertly installed and there was no mess for us to clean up.

If we need any appliances in the future, I won’t be heading to Home Depot or Lowe’s in search of the best price. I will be heading back to Martin’s...
