UPDATE- Returned as promised yesterday, 11/16/2020, and was salivating at the thoughts of chowing down at their breakfast buffet ... only to arrive & find it's currently only offered on Saturdays. I have to say this was a major letdown, although I will accept half the blame for not calling to verify before going there during the midst of all this coronavirus. We were told they were unable to maintain adequate staff in order to offer the buffets daily and while this seemed like a copout at that time, our unimpressive experience made that statement seem very possible. It started with our server (name redacted from receipt) spilling a beverage across the table & having to leave the table with liquid running/dripping everywhere to get something to wipe/dry the table off. Then there was an exceptionally long wait time before we received our order, which was luke warm at best (mostly cold), initially incomplete, and not as ordered. Since it took so long to get what we'd received, we (collectively) decided not to send about half the orders back. I'll speak specifically as to my issues since I don't post pics/receipts of others orders. I can't imagine a cook working in the kitchen that doesn't know the difference between jalapeno & green bell peppers, and white & sourdough toast. They also offer 4 different types of breakfast potatoes, but it doesn't matter what you ask for because you'll get whatever they fill like putting on the plate. I ordered cream chipped beef over cottage fries & hash browns with the omelet ... I got neither! Won't be returning to this location until they get things worked out, and even then it'll be when they're offering the buffets. I won't order off the menu here again! --------------------------------------------------------- Visited this location on 01/12/2019 to compare it directly with the Gap, PA location. While it appears to be a tad smaller with only about 90% of the selection that the Dutch-Way Restaurant in Gap offers, the food is every bit as awesome. I happened to be there on prime rib night and it was incredible. They also offered pork loin at the carving station and it too was wonderful. Staff was courteous and friendly, just as you'd expect, and they were earning their paychecks on this evening because the restaurant was very busy, but I had zero complaints about service. I will return to this location when in the area.

Nice quiet store to shop in without worrying about loud music blaring your eardrums out. *However, the restaurant leaves much to be desired. The dinner buffet had 7 pork options, 1 shrimp, 1 chicken, & 1 fish. Definately not worth $20 per person & probably why most were ordering off of the menu. I also noticed parties that switched from their choice of the buffet to ordering on the menu. This was just the start of our poor experience. Then when we decided to order from the menu things got worse. It took about an hour to get our food. Then, both burgers came with the original cheese instead of the substitute cheese we requested due to a food allergy, one was supposed to have a fully cooked egg & it came out runny, & whatever "bbq" sauce was used in conjunction with the onions was off-putting. When mentioning this, especially the error with a food allergy, the waitress who checked us out didn't really seem to care how big of an issue this is.

Best breakfast buffet in the area! 2020-11-16 due to the covid-19 virus The buffet is shut down and you order off the menu. I decided to stay and give it a try. I wish I had left. Besides taking 20 to 25 minutes for our food to be prepared, the omelette was dry and way overcooked, the chipped beef was tasteless, and the waitress advised that they couldn't get enough help locally to reopen the buffet. I also think they must have problems with the cook they have hired to make food this bad at the place that has such a great reputation. I'll be waiting for the buffet to reopen before I return.

We received a gift card to Dutchway as a gift for Christmas. We have never been to the restaurant so we thought it would be nice to go out as a family and get dinner. My husband got a patty melt, I got the buffet, my daughter got pot pie, my oldest son a chicken sandwich and my youngest got chicken tenders. Our food was brought in a timely manner but my husband patty melt was literally just bread and a burger patty. No onion, no cheese, no sauce. The piece of chicken on my son’s sandwich took up only half of the bun. Our waitress was a young girl who was frantically running around trying to do her job. We noticed the manager and other staff did not offer help once. We sat for at least 20 minutes after we ate our food waiting for someone to come over. I eventually took my kids to the car and my husband complained about our food and service. Our waitress was amazing and did the best she could, but to see her run around and struggle like that was unfair. It seemed like every time we tried to ask for assistance we were ignored. They did not charge us for the patty melt or chicken sandwich.

After that experience a week later my husband and I did not have the kids one night so we thought we give Dutchway another go. Since we still had a gift card we thought this time we will order take out. I ordered a roast beef meal with mashed potatoes and Lima beans. My husband ordered a haddock sandwich that came with fries and Cole slaw. They gave me a pick up time of 20 minutes which I was there on time. My roast beef was completely cold, my mashed potatoes were hard, I was given baked beans instead of Lima beans, and it did not come with the roll like it was supposed to. My husbands sandwich was extremely soggy, he never received the coleslaw, and there was no sauce even though I was asked. On top of all of that I spent 4 days throwing up with food poisoning! I understand restaurants mess up from time to time but this is ridiculous. Not once but twice we had a bad experience. We will NOT be...

UNACCOMMODATING Hostess 😒: Yesterday my daughter and I stopped in for breakfast after having gotten bloodwork done. We were taken to a nearby two-seater table near the entrance. When I asked the hostess if we could please sit in one of the booths at the far back because it's quieter she offered to seat us at a booth near a noisy group sitting near the dining conference rooms. During my hesitation, she asked if it was ok and I told her I'd rather sit in the back. She said something to the fact that they seat accordingly by the seating chart and try to give all waitresses evenly and again asked me if it was ok. I felt my request was an imposition to her and reluctantly agreed to sit where she wanted us to sit 😞, but before being escorted to the booth I told her that 'people sometimes have reasons for their request such as an invisible disability like my daughter and I having migraine of which we shouldn't need to inform her and that's why the request to sit in a quieter area so she should really just think about that next time she receives a seating request.' This is the first time a hostess here has ever not allowed our special seating request. HOPEFULLY our next visit will be more pleasant and accommodating. LOOKING FORWARD to the 'Made-to-Order' (MTO) omelet and pancake station coming back!!! ...Sad that it doesn't seem there are NO plans to bring MTO back :( Previous Review: delicious choices for the breakfast buffet including made-to-order omelets and pancakes. The staff are attentive, helpful, and usually quick to refill your coffee cup, clear plates, and share a smile even during busy times. Your $dollars$ are well spent considering all the appetizing food choices. The more we have frequented this venue the staff remember our preferences which makes us feel...
