Tropical Nut & Fruit — Local services in Jackson Township

While I was visiting the store, I was told by the clerk that items in their refrigerated case were "pretty pricey". As a woman of color, I was particularly disturbed by that statement. I wrote their Facebook page to express my concern. My message was ignored for 3 days and the response came only after a white friend of mine inquired about why they hadn't responded to me. The response to my message was 'please provide an email so our manager can handle this'. No admission of wrongdoing. No acknowledgement of valuing my business or commitment to customer service. No one should be treated in such a manner by any retail staff. I am a military retiree but above else I was a paying customer who was not being disruptive or disrespectful The incident itself was disturbing enough, but the response further demonstrates the culture of this establishment. Well I didn't even make it in the store before I was chased out of the parking lot and told that it is private parking and I couldn't park there. I asked if the store was open to public she said yes but they have had a problem with vandalism so they are watching the lot .that's fine But I guess you have to look and dress a certain way to even park in the public private parking that wasn't marked by the way. I wouldn't waist my time or money going to this place again as you might get judged the minute you pull in the parking lot, and it doesn't matter what you drive as I have a nice clean vehicle and had just come from the car wash...

One of the best places to get holiday candy. They always have ridiculous specials and the candy is always fresh. The staff is always so helpful and friendly. This place is opened all year around and it sits right out in front of the factor warehouse. You will be surprised and amazed once you walk in at all the different varieties of candy and nuts. They often give samples of different flavors of covered pretzels. This places even has a reward program where if you send so much or get a certain amount off one of your visit. Definitely worth...
