Jacksonville Furniture Mart's Clearance Center — Local services in Jacksonville

I was excited to check out the selection of furniture here, as the pictures I had seen online showed some nice pieces. We are new to the area, so we have been looking for good furniture stores. When we arrived, my husband and I were met by an older woman who worked there. She explained the layout of the store, but then told us how not to assume that the items in the store would be very discounted because they're all 'high end' and despite the discounts, would be very expensive still and kept reiterating this to us. I didn't feel encouraged to browse the store, instead, I felt as if we was implying my husband and I couldn't afford anything in there because we look too young to afford a $2,000 couch or something. She also commented how we didn't look around long enough and suggested the 'double clearance' section, further implying we couldn't afford what was on the floor. Not sure if this is a spiel given to all customers, but I found it to be very off-putting and I don't plan on coming back to this establishment. I'm not one to even write bad reviews, but this visit left a bad taste...

I came into their smaller location and was greeted by a couple of employees with such positive attitudes. Robert came up to my sister and I, introduced himself explained a little bit about the company and gave us our space to shop without hovering. If I had a question he was conveniently right there , but didn’t follow us around the store. I settled on a beautiful sectional that luckily was able to be shipped out a few days later! Robert was super patient and understanding when I hit a little snag with my card (from out of state) but once it was all settled I was a happy customer with a new couch being delivered. Definitely recommend this location if you’re looking for a smaller atmosphere, I know they have a huge location on Atlantic but for those who get overwhelmed easy with too many choices this one was perfect. This place is awesome. They have a wide variety of furniture: name brands like Best, Vaughan Basset, Riverside, Craftmaster, Bernhardt, Lexington. And they offer the lowest prices I could find. At this location, they also have some clearance items. And I have found some real treasures at rock bottom prices. You never know what you might find there so I personally like to check back periodically as they are always putting out new merchandise. The sales people are very friendly and helpful.
