I typically enjoy going to this salon and the services I get from Ivy. The last two times I’ve had another older woman and just left disappointed with her work. I can only have my nails a certain way due to work and I explained that but she proceeded to put a layer of glitter on my nails “bc it’s pretty” and cured it under the light and there I was with glitter nails. It was during the holidays so I figured I could sneak by with it and the nails came out nice and I didn’t want to waste time and risk damaging my nail dremeling off the polish. This last time was very disappointing for me. I made an appointment specifically because I am getting wedding photos taken so I made sure to schedule my time slot thinking that would ensure time and attention. Not the case. I showed up to a full house with only 3 techs working and I had to wait. I got the same tech as the last time. I came with photos of what I wanted and told her it was for wedding photos. No crazy nail art, just a thin lined French tip with white chrome finish for my hands and feet. I had a bruise on my big toe from way back and she said French wouldn’t look good and suggested this bold blue instead to cover it up. Not the soft glam blue you would want for a wedding but my toes weren’t getting photographed so I went along with it. Again, wedding photos, they take pictures of your hands with the rings, bouquets etc so you would think if a nail tech heard those words they would put in work. It looked nothing like the picture I provided and SHE didn’t like the thin French tip so she urged me to go thicker because it’s prettier. After a layer was cured she noticed a bubble or something and tried to file that spot off of the freshly cured polish and then cover it with chrome which only highlighted it more bc there was this gob of chrome dead center and she was going to leave it like that and cure it and moved on until I asked her to fix it. After all was said and done I had these thick chunky nails and each and everyone had bubbles and brush strokes cured into the final product. She didn’t even file them into shapes evenly. I had some nails way longer then others and some completely on an angle. I sat in the parking lot in disbelief looking at the work in the natural light and I left completely disappointed. I couldn’t go back in for a fix bc again there are only 3 techs working at any given time and people kept piling in and clearly they rush through the work to get to the next client. I went somewhere else to soak off the work and start over and they did a much better job and I’ll make sure to tag them in the photos to promote their work. Lucky Nails used to be my go to but I think these last two experiences will have me taking my...
Read moreFirst time ever coming to this place. Trying to find new nail salons since I just moved out here. Didn’t get much a welcome greeting. But that’s okay. There were only three nail techs working . Arrived 10 mins early, waited for a while. But since there were only three people working on clients I was patient & understanding.
I decided to go for a Christmas themed design. The nail tech lady doing my pedicure was great! Up until the end of the filing, when she cut my thumb cuticle when using the dermel too close to the cuticle skin. I did feel some discomfort pain before it happened but didn’t think much of it. Only discovered it after washing my hands. It was bleeding but not horribly. It hurts a bit when bending a bit but not horrible. The tech lady did notice but didn’t do anything to help it.
The results of the manicure and pedicure were Great! Including my eye brow wax. But please just need to be more careful while filing down next time . I might come back next time for a better experience than my first. Willing to give a second chance in...
Read moreI decided to go into this place as I only live 2 minutes from it and wanted to give it a try. Big mistake. I wanted a simple pedicure, got charged a deluxe, okay whatever. I told my "guy" that I didn't want the scrub on my legs, my legs were irritated and to leave them alone. He did not listen, put the scrub on my already irritated legs, then that alcohol wash, and for the grand finale..a hot towel. I was in tears, the pain was so bad. Then he proceeds to the actual pedicure, (for those watching at home, yes I know this is out of order but this is how its done at lucky nails), and he cuts my right foot in two places. And puts that alcohol gel on my cut then without waiting for it to dry, dunks it back in the water. And every time it bleeds, he puts that alcohol crap on it and dunks it back in the water. I finally told him to go get a bandaid, paint my nails because I'm leaving. If you like pedicures, don't go to this place, they will ruin a good...
