This is another typical Home Depot store. You can find pretty much anything you need here, but one thing that does stick out is that it's pretty easy to get help when you need it. I have been at other Home Depot stores before, and Lowes and when you need help, there is NOBODY around. I must honestly say, this is the only HD that I can remember, where their employees actually came up to me and asked, are you finding everything ok?if you need help, let me know.
Another nice thing about HD in general is they have a Military Discount for eligible shoppers. Lowes does too but you have to sign up online and all kinds of other garbage to get it, it's not worth the extra hassles. Here you just show your Mil Id and you are good to go. It does not apply to plumbing unfortunately but to pretty much everything else. If you are buying a new washer / dryer / refrigerator etc, some of that stuff gets EXPENSIVE!! Being able to take 100 dollars off really comes in handy. That pays for delivery, removal of old, the power cords, and any other stuff you may also need and still leaves money left to put back in your pocket.
If you are doing gardening, this discount comes in handy too, especially on bulk orders like pallets full of sod, or mulch, or paving stones
The only down side is that the cashiers can sometimes get a little bit slow and have a line backing up, however you can always goto the help desk or other places to get checked out too if you must.
Another plus is that they will take your stuff out to your car for you and load it if you ask them for help.
Overall, decent store here, HELPFUL STAFF, you don't find that much any other place sadly, and on special projects etc, the manager can work with you on prices of stuff. I recommend this Home...
Read moreI cannot believe the extremely low level of customer service at this store. I asked a young gentleman which isle the Wainscoating was on. I know I do not spell it correctly but I can definitely tell them what it is called. He looked at me like a deer in the headlights and said we don't carry that. Of course based on his confused look I asked him if he even knew what Waynescoating is. His response to me was, if we carried it I would know exactly what it is since I don't know what it is, that means that we don't carry it. Now.......really. I located it 5 minutes later myself. I spend a lot of money at home depot because I flip houses. I am in there quite often. I was there trying to purchase a collapsible laundry basket Amongst a bunch of other things. There were 2 girls at the self check register. I called them over and told them that this is ringing up at $12.98 and it is priced in the back at $10.47. There are only 2 collapsible baskets as options and both were $10.47. So, i knew it wasn't in the wrong area. They both told me, "well it's ringing up $12.98 so it is what it is it's not our problem it is what it is." I sent it back and then literally left that register went over took a picture to show the actual price and had to bring it all the way up to the other register who rang it up correcy using the picture i took. All because these young ladies were too busy laughing and giggling and making fun of people as they walked through instead of actually helping customers. Very sad to see such ridiculously rude and lazy "customer service" representatives being considered acceptable to this particular Home...
Read moreThe whole purpose of placing an online order and curbside pick up is to keep people out of the store. However at Homedepot that's not the case. You still must stand in a line outside the store, around a bunch of people. Then you stand in another line inside, around a bunch of people. Then when you finally get to the customer service desk, the cashier wants to touch your personal belongings, receipt and drivers license using the same gloves she's had on since I entered over an hour ago. That's not how gloves work. Then you have to wait in another line for them to bring your order up. But they don't bring it to you, they just push the cart up to the front over to the side, leave it there, walk away and not mention to you or anyone at customer service that your order has been brought to the front. No, they just let you stand there until you have to finally ask if your order is ready or not only for the cashier to ignore you, walk away and help someone else. I waited 1.5 hrs for an online purchase. I could have just went in and got my stuff, paid and been home in 30 minutes. But I thought I was doing it the right way, the way they preferred instead of roaming the store. I never had to 2nd guess where I was going to buy all of my hardware needs. I always chose Homedepot. But after today, I will be rethinking that. Never again will I do an online purchase for in store pickup. Oh, and it truly doesn't matter how polite you are to these folks, they still had attitude that just...
