Edited Review: the general manager, Koston, contacted me within just a couple of hours of me posting this and has rectified all issues and more. You can tell they truly care and just want to make things right. It is a great gym if you are convenient to it with lots of bells & whistles. Just wanted to make my issues aware but thankful to have a resolution.
Initial experience prior to GM correcting the issues I encountered: I signed up for this gym only because it was conveniently located right down the street from my house off Route 19. My first month was free, and about two weeks later I decided to sign up for a personal training package. The trainer told me that my regular gym membership would be cancelled and I’d only be paying for training, which was $100 every two weeks.
A week later—before I even got to start training—I received a text saying the location was abruptly closing, and that I’d have to go to another location 18 minutes away. It was inconvenient, but I decided to give it a try anyway.
Two weeks later, I was charged for the gym membership anyway, even though it was supposed to be cancelled. My trainer told me to email the woman who handles billing, and she promised to fix it. A month later, nothing had been fixed. Instead of refunding or crediting the mistaken charge, they offered me two free sessions, which didn’t really address the issue.
Not long after, I became seriously ill and had to pause working out. On top of that, the commute to the new location was just not manageable with my schedule. Now they’re still trying to charge me for training I never even received, including a “past due” payment for a period when I hadn’t trained at all.
The whole experience has been a nightmare of poor communication, billing mistakes, and zero accountability. It’s really disappointing, because I had been excited to start my fitness journey, but this gym turned it into a frustrating mess.
The only positive note is the place is very clean and the trainers seem very nice and supportive but after this experience, no way I’d go back… plus that distance is...
Read moreVery disappointed with the way they conduct business. They allowed my husband to sign up using my debit card ( I was not present and had no knowledge my card was being used). He told them he didn't have is card because he accidentally grabbed mine when he left the house. He was told that it was fine and they signed him right up. When I found the automatic payments coming out of my account, I asked my husband who told me all about how they pressured him into joining and were fine with using my card. I contacted them immediately and the manager apologized and said that they would cancel him and that it was all a misunderstanding. Now 5 years later I check his credit report and find a $107 debt to the gym! When I called to find out more about it, the manager was annoyed and said she didn't have time to look for paperwork and that I needed to "just pay it" because I was gonna have to pay it no matter what. There was no attempt to help or try to figure out what happened. It was like I was ruining her day by needing customer service. The collections agency is now also treating us like low lives who are trying to skip out on the bill. We have the money to pay, that is not the problem. It is the lack of customer service and the greed that upsets me. Furthermore, how dare they allow another person to join using my card without my knowledge! I trusted them when they apologized the first time and said they would cancel him and discard the contract. I should have known better and gone down for proof. Now too much time has passed and there's no evidence. I don't even know who I spoke to years ago. The current manager was rude and spoke over me as I tried to talk calmly to her to try and find a solution. I wouldn't recommend this gym to anyone simply based on how they are treating me. I never yelled at anyone there or spoke to them in a rude manner. The manager there had no reason to speak to me like a child who is...
