That food actually wasn't that bad. Aside from the grease, the food tasted okay. Beans and rice was authentic. First, the young guy at the counter never smiled and he looked like he didn't like working there. Maybe he gets paid minimum wage or just a monotone personality. I didn't see any indication of no free refills. Had I know that, I would've bought a large horchata instead of a medium and I would've mentioned to use less ice since half of my cup was iced. My biggest issue was the lack cleanliness. The bathroom looks like they don't thoroughly clean it. Maybe just a quick mop but nothing big. Graffiti all over the walls and cracked mirror doesn't help either. The floors were slippery and had urine. Every business should have a set time to clean bathrooms. The dinning room was filthy. I finally sat at one table that wasn't as dirty as the rest. They were slow so I don't know why the kid behind counter didn't clean them off. Another guy eventually came out to wipe off the counter tables near the windows but never the booth tables. As he was cleaning, he picked up napkins left on the table and some fell to the floor. He saw where the fell to but just walked away. The area where you put our trays at above the garbage was stacked really high. I'm glad I didn't get sick as others have stated on Yelp but their lack of cleanliness really needs to improve...

If I could give this place ZERO stars, I would. First of all, when you walk in, the tables are dirty. There’s no one wiping down the tables after people are done eating! That’s GROSS! The bins by the garbage cans are OVERFLOWING with dirty dishes and food! CLEAN up cause we are DEFINITELY contacting the HEALTH DEPARTMENT!! Then they have someone at the register that does not speak English!! YOU ALL CAN GET AS MAD AS YOU WANT, BUT IF YOU CARED ABOUT YOUR EMPLOYEES, YOU SHOULD INVEST IN THEM AND ENGLISH AS A SECOND LANGUAGE CLASSES. And YELLING at the customer just because your EMPLOYEE didn’t understand the order is a HUGE NO! You all have TERRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE! No one was shaming you for not understanding the order but YELLING at the customer does ZERO to rectify the situation! And it’s not the first time you all mess up the orders! Whenever we order thru UBER EATS, YOU ALL FORGET TO INCLUDE THE CHIPS! DO BETTER! The COMMUNITY and the CUSTOMERS are what keep you all in business!...

The food is good and inexpensive. I really like their salsas especially the red. Some batches are saltier or more spicy then others but generally has a pretty consistent flavor. The best part is when you order veggie with avacado they generally DO NOT skimp on the avacado like most places do!

On another note, Ive been coming to this location since it arrived years ago and the best service and interactions Ive ever had have been in the last few weeks. The woman who takes my order (Carmen I believe) is so sweet and friendly and really works hard to make your experience pleasant.

Being vegetarian, I usually have a mishap with my order about 1/4 of the time. Ive never had a wrong order since she arrived at this location and shes always so vibrant from the moment you walk in the door. Keep her...she makes...
