I LOVED my experience at I Do Bridal and with Kelly! I had gone to a few other bridal shops and liked their dresses, but wasn't comfortable spending thousands on a dress, and I was really hoping to buy something used for environmental reasons. I also really wanted a unique style, and I found a lot of the new dresses I was trying on very similar. Thankfully, I found I Do Bridal online and I'm so happy I did! I made an appointment in advance and sent Kelly a few pictures I liked for reference. When I got there she had a bunch of beautiful options all ready for me, and was able to spend a full 90 minutes with me and my mom. She was super patient as I tried on many different styles, and kept pulling new and interesting options from her massive inventory. I tried on maybe ten dresses, which ranged from never worn contemporary styles to vintage 1960s dresses. After the first appointment I had pretty much decided what I wanted, but thought I should sleep on it. Kelly was super nice and didn't push for a sale at all. I ended up coming back two days later and bought the perfect, unique, vintage dress of my dreams! At the second appointment Kelly showed me different veils that might work with my dress and I also tried on some cute pant suits for my rehearsal dinner and ended up getting one of those too. The attached photos are some of the dresses I tried on, including the one I picked, before alterations. I'll post updated pictures from the wedding after alterations! Kelly's prices are so so affordable, I ended up with a wedding dress AND a rehearsal outfit for less than a third of what I might have paid for just a new dress. She also lets you store your dress securely at her store and connects you with her own tailor who can do alterations on a much shorter timeline than I've seen with any other wedding dress tailor (6 weeks as opposed to the 4 months I was quoted at boutiques selling new dresses). I'd recommend that everyone looking for beautiful and affordable dresses go see Kelly,...
Read morePros: Great inventory and prices. Kelly is also very knowledgeable and willing to provide advice on things to consider for your wedding.
Cons: Kelly did not work with us to find the bride's desired style. Additionally, Kelly made rude comments at various moments throughout our visit.
We provided many photos and corresponded consistently in advance of the appointment showing what the bride was looking for. When we first arrived, none of the initial dresses selected were close to the desired design. When the bride described what she was looking for, Kelly did not try to find other gowns. Seeing this, the matron of honor started working on finding dresses in the open inventory, and requested to have access to the rest of the inventory. Kelly was initally resistant to allowing us to personally look through her inventory to find dresses that did match the desired design. It took pressuring to get a chance to look at the full inventory. In addition to not working with us on getting the right designs, Kelly did not communicate about the appointment length and expectations, and then told us after 2 hours that appointments are usually 1 hour long and that we needed to be leaving soon. We found this extremely rude as Kelly had spent the first half-hour just chatting with us like there was no time limit, and hadn't spent any of the first hour getting acquainted with the bride's style or working to align better with it. Instead, she made the comment "the bride does not seem to know what kind of dress she wants"; nothing could be futher from the truth as the bride had a very specific type of dress in mind that is simply very difficult to find; hence why we came with hopes for the large inventory. The second hour had been spent with the matron of honor pulling closer styles and the bride trying those on.
We had some success finding dresses close to the bride's desires. Unfortunately, this was in spite of the...
Read moreJust called asking for details and asking about being able to go in to view the slections. Was outright told, "when you're done shopping around and get scared because of the price tag, then call us and schedule an appointment." Felt uncomfortable right off the bat with this comment. The reason I had even called was because I wanted to support a local buisness.......... I have already seen a few dresses at other places and thought with covid and everything, why not go more local. When I explained I was just calling because I was hoping to see the collection, she doubled down on this and quote "if you come in, it's to buy since the dress won't be here for long." So now not only did they suggest I will be scared because of a ticket price, but now I will feel presured even going in because they expect me to buy. If I like what I see I will buy it, If not then I won't. It's not about me going to them as last ditch effort, it's about enjoying this experince with my family. Won't even be going because of this interaction and the lack of an apology when the person realized they had messed up. Honestly sounds like they only care about money and are banking on desprate brides going here. Will not add to their numbers in that regard. Would recommend Glamour Closet (although sadly not local) if you're looking for dresses on the inexpensive side. They are a resale store. If anyone has any other recomended local stores, please let me know. Still hoping to go local if possible. *side note: Wedding is in March so I have time to look around. Budget wasn't even discussed when she told me the things she did. Great job on...
