La Tienda Michoacana — Local services in Jefferson Township

I have been coming to this store since they opened. I was excited to see my fellow Latinos up & rising within my community but when I purchased a quart of pozole (as usual) I came home to eat excited because I know the food is always delicious! So I thought, I found a baby cockroach in my soup!!! Just floating having the best swim of its life smh!!!!! I was so disgusted!!! Had I not saw the roach I would have consumed this !!! It made me wonder the many times I ate the food it was probably contaminated. Please people be careful where and what you eat because I went back and showed the owner and he didn’t even apologize to me!!! Let alone he kept his doors open!!! If I owned an establishment involving food I would have closed my store and called an exterminator! The store decent. But be aware that the sell spoiled meat on sale. The butchers, some are good and nice. Then they have some that are mean and don't give you the amount you ask of them. The manager is condensending when you return the spoil meat. When I return spoiled meat the manager Said to me let me take to the back and have it checked. Then meat had a smell to it and it was slimy. Then when she came back that she was going to refund me but that meat have to be cleaned before cooking. Good location very convenient place to visit when you need groceries. They have about everything you can need. They even have hot food which in my opinion taste very good i really like the rice that’s hot & ready to eat. They have these flans that are packaged up that I also love getting when I go they all are good. They have a bakery with good items as well. Prices are ok most times.
