Went there for the demolition Derby, stood in line for an hour to get tickets, they wouldn't allow any more into the grandstand despite the extra seating, saying they were reserved, even though nobody showed up. Ended up spending 15 bucks per head to get a Pit Pass, only to be told we would probably have to stand. We stood the whole evening behind other people to watch. Demolition was pretty fun, for the parts we could see! All in all, I guess if you want a grandstand seat, you have to buy ahead of time. Pit passes are only worth it if you can get a seat.

We were outside on a hot day at the racing barns and it was mandatory to wear masks. The fairgrounds itself was nice, but I didn't get to go around to see anything except the grandstand. For some reason there was a cop car that had the road blocked so we had to drive all the way around the block. The track was bare on the backside and was overwatered in the morning when trainers were warming up their horses.

The Ashtabula Fair will always hold a special place in my heart. My Mom and Dad always took us to the Ashtabula Fair every year when we were kids growing up my father started his teaching career at Jefferson so we made lots of friends and they would meet each year at the Fair so that our families could enjoy their families. It's a great Fair to us!

I was working in the Expo Center on a Saturday and Sunday. A co-worker left 7 of our admission tickets at a booth by the parking lot on Thursday. When I arrived and asked about the envelope of tickets, no booth on Poplar Street had them. Even with all of my company's logo on my body, Harlee Hamilton would not allow me into the fair. She then told me that the booths are instructed to completely clean and clear out each booth every night. Why would a booth accept the 7 entry tickets on a Thursday night, knowing that they were going to be cleaning out their booth shortly thereafter? Someone from that booth or other fair employees took our tickets. Fine. Then let me in the fair. Harlee Hamilton would not let me in, even though it was fair personnel that discarded our tickets. Harlee was rude and inconsiderate. If you are a potential vendor for the Ashtabula County Fair in future seats, I would second guess...

Nice Fair. Cool turkey H20 dispenser. Fairly clean pens n barns. Bathrooms good. Small animal costumes fun. Special need show with medals. Some good signage for animals. Need some house keeping in some areas barns but generally better than many. Log home is neat. Need more info on Animals. Readable at 8 to 10 ft. Makes it more interesting! Same for all presentations. Smaller than 24pt is tough to read at 8 to 10 ft!// I m Not a tree hugger, but at least some Aluminum Can recycling should yield 10 to 20 lbs a day. Competition per county Fair or 4H...
