We sat almost immediately, which was awesome. The diner itself is very cute and definitely has small-town vibes. Food was subpar at best, sadly. The guy who sat us was friendly. However, the waitress.. she is another story. I dont want to say it was a racial thing, but im going to say it probably was. A person in the group was a minority and as we sat there we watched her be super pleasant to all of her other tables or the males at the bar but when it came to us, couldnt show more that she did not want to wait on us. Was very short with us, never checked on us. Mind you, she was pleasant this with others. Our food came out barely warm. Then when it came time for the check, we sat for awhile and all she did was slap the check on the table and walk and talk to another table and have a friendly chat and handed them their check. All in all... will probably never go to this...

We stopped here for lunch on a Tuesday around 1PM. The places was pretty full! They have about 4 small booths, 6 or so tables, and a bar that seats about 8. We found a place at the bar. The establishment is small but comfortable and clean! The Prices are great. We had 2 meals for $20. We had the Yuengling beer battered fish with homemade green beans(with butter on them) ,homemade mashed potato’s, brown gravy, and home made chunky apple sauce! Delicious! And the tuna melt sandwich was delicious but the best part were the seasoned French fries. It was awesome to have actual home made food! You could tell it hadn’t been frozen, thawed out, warmed and served to us. And they still kept the prices affordable!

We will definitely go back! The service and wait staff is not the warmest and friendliest…but they get the job done and kept our glasses full while we...

Julane and I were camping at the Ashtabula County Fairgrounds for the 34th GOBA (Great Ohio Bicycle Adventure) on 17-19 June. We checked out the Jefferson Diner on one of those days and were wonderfully pleased with everything. The atmosphere was very friendly, efficient and home-like. We felt like we've known the proprietor and staff all our lives but we had just arrived from Frederick Maryland. It was easy to find a good lunch using their rich menu and it came quickly and was delicious. After we Cycled 193 miles, the weather forecast enabled us to decide to take a taxy back to Jefferson from Kent where we had been camping. We got our car and went to the Jefferson Diner again on 23 June because we knew we would get good food. The owner recognized us and welcomed us back like...
