My primary care center gave me a prescription for incontinence pads, it was not a hard copy script. It had the center's letterhead, the person name and medical verification ID number and license number. They wanted more information. Fine. They also said they were going to call my primary care physician to verify and they would call me the very next day; they did not. Instead I called Walgreen's pharmacy dept., that next day. First of all I am disabled and can not walk, so my fiancé physically walked in and approaches the tech and she said that they would handle the situation. Lied! When I call that very next day I spoke to a young man didn't have any record of me or the issue in his notes. Yet, he knew exactly what I was speaking about. I asked to speak to a pharmacist, "they were to busy", he said. So asked if they could call and my primary care center and get the script that way. He said, Yes that would not be a problem. Lied! Finally I call back and speak to another tech whom refused to give me her name and the other young man's name. Interesting! I now have the chance to speak to a pharmacist, he explains that he has spoken to head pharmacist whom did not have any ideal of what I was speaking about. Lied! So I then receive the news that it doesn't matter anyhow because my insurance will not pay for incontinence pads. The major lies of all the lies that they spilled on me. Lies, lies, lies! I feel entitled to receive the same standard of care as they would, it is very unfortunate and unfair to be talked down too, and lied just because they did not want bother themselves with trying to help in any way. My family and I have been patrons of this store since the opening. I would like to ask them (Walgreen's) to review their quality standard of care and try to treat people no matter how they may look or whatever the case...
Read moreI live in Hanover, Indiana & drive almost 40 miles to go to this pharmacy! The very first time I went there to get my prescriptions filled it was after midnight, I was tired & had an hour & a half drive home. Needless to say, I did not check my scripts before leaving. I got all the way home to realize I had been shorted on one of my scripts!! I've had this happen before at my local CVS & was told they don't make mistakes! I was left for 15 days without my medicine! As soon as I realized I was short, I was upset but, I called the pharmacy & spoke with the pharmacists & explained how far away I live & that I go to that part of Louisville a few times a month. He was unable to tell me that night if his numbers in the computer showed an overage of meds on their end. He instructed me to call in the morning that the system would be updated by then. I have to say, I was shocked to no end when the pharmacy manager was extremely polite & very apologetic, he informed me that they were in fact over on their count, exactly the amount I was shorted! He filled the remaining script & made sure it was there & ready for me to pick up at my earliest convenience! From now on, this is my only pharmacy! I love this place! They own up to their mistakes, which everyone makes but, it's very rare to find a business that will admit to it! I've never had a bad experience while shopping at this location! The staff is very friendly & the pharmacy gets 2 thumbs up from me!! I willingly travel an hour & a half just to get my medication from this location. It's well worth the drive & gas expense to know that I will always be taken care of. I love knowing that there is still a pharmacy that puts the customers first & do what's right for their customers! Thank you...
Read moreI ordered a Father’s Day present from the photo area at this location. It was a framed photo, but they forgot to put the glass in it thus causing the photo to pop out. Everyone up until this point, even the person on the phone was so kind. They encouraged me to come in ASAP to get it fixed, so I did. An employee named TANIKA watched me stand at the photo area for 5-10 minutes. Just casually looking over every now and then. I actually think this girl is somehow a manager, and I really don’t know how after how she treated me. When TANIKA finally came over I explained what happened and without even thinking she told me to come back tomorrow. I didn’t realize putting glass into a frame was so hard, but I didn’t want to have to come back so I just asked her for the glass and told her I’d do it myself. To which TANIKA called me rude. Then proceeded to give me stank eyes and face, telling me she doesn’t know where the glass is (without even trying to look). I told her that the lady on the phone told me to come now and that someone would be able to help me. I guess TANIKA isn’t able to do anything but joke around with other employees.. I ended up leaving without getting it fixed. She kept mumbling rude things about me underneath her breath and I’m too old to deal with someone so foolish—I guess I’ll come back when the people who actually are nice/do their job are working… I hope nobody has to deal with Tanika like I did. You’ll never want to come back to this...
