I had a very negative experience at the drive-thru pharmacy window today (September 8th - at the Jersey Shore, PA location). The employee working the window (named Pam) was extremely rude, unprofessional, and spoke to me in a snarky and dismissive tone. I understand that pharmacies can be busy and stressful, but there is no reason for customers to be treated in such a disrespectful manner. As a customer, I expect clear communication and courtesy, and this interaction left me feeling frustrated and undervalued.
I received a call at 4:20pm from who I assume to be a pharmacy technician regarding seizure medication that is newly prescribed to my dog, Maggie. She informed me that it was being filled then and would be ready in 5 minutes. I didn’t actually get to the store until around 5pm, so way more than 5 minutes. Pam was immediately rude, saying she doesn’t know who would have called me because nothing was ready and it was not approved yet. She kept going back and forth with me and wouldn’t let me get a word in edgewise. I’m not sure where the confusion was, eventually I asked for someone else to talk to. She rolled her eyes and obliged to the request.
The girl who came to the window next was actually the girl who called me to tell me the meds were being filled, I didn’t catch her name, but she was great and handled the incident professionally. The meds were filled and ready, by the way.
I hope this CVS addresses this behavior, as it reflects poorly on the company and discourages me from wanting to return to this location. I am actually planning on moving my script to the Lock Haven location due to this interaction; even though it’s completely...
Read moreThe store front is great, I like shopping here. Coupons are awesome, and it’s nice to grab some quick cosmetics or drugstore products.
However, I’m not impressed with the pharmacy. I hate to knock the entire staff, because I have had a few pleasant experiences with the odd service technician… but for some reason it seems within the last year there’s just been a noticeable decline. Seems like there’s always new people working, as opposed to years ago when you would get used to seeing the same person regularly (because prescriptions are pretty regular). I’m an old school person, it’s odd to stop at your usual spot and not see the usual people. Which brings me to.. the last couple months my boyfriend has gone to get his script, which needs to be called in and they are out of it when he goes to pick it up. They don’t call and let him know, they don’t let the doctor know they are out of the medicine when they call it in … he has had to wait two days to get it in one instance. This is not okay. People need their medication, seems like referring to another pharmacy may be a solution. Some sort of solution should be offered instead of simply saying “sorry, all out” and making people wait. Not to mention, some of the ladies there are just rude. Also, seems like the drive thru hours have shortened, which sucks for me. I used to be able to swing thru after work and lately...
Read moreMy annual journey to the middle of nowhere led me to this CVS on my way out.
You know you're in a struggling Rust Belt small town when the main strip through town is anchored on one corner by a...well, CVS.
That said, this CVS is actually clean and relatively well stocked. I don't know if that is because of a post-Christmas lull or because the management actually cares and somehow has enough hours to make the store function.
But seriously, in terms of CVS, this store is clean. So they...
