National Sporting Goods — Local services in Jersey Shore

This is an updated review. I was in this store a few weeks ago and had a bad experience. I asked about a tx-22, and the guy at their register seemed bothered by me and said if we had one, it would be over there and pointed to the other side of the counter. Then we got into a discussion about the 9mm cartridge. I said it was a rimless cartridge, and He said it was a rimmed cartridge. I so no it is not, and he laughed and said yes it is, it has a rim. I told him it has a Grove, not a rim. It must have been his 1st day. It is good for national for hiring mentally handicapped people. I wanted to buy a pistol and had questions, but all the guys at the counter kept their backs to me and ignored me. They were all talking about the upcoming holiday weekend. I went somewhere else to buy my pistol. I used to like this store, but they didn't seem very knowledgeable or friendly this day. After moving back to the area and asking around about sporting good stores this store consistently came up. I took a ride down and everything was pretty much in line from what i was told. Great crew working, clean store, organized and the guys were really attentive and made sure people were taken care of. Ammo was a pretty much on line with everywhere I checked prior to going.
