I recently visited your salon with high hopes, as I had very long dip nails that were in need of reshaping and maintenance. I had my heart set on achieving a specific look - almond nails - and brought a photo to ensure my request was clear attached is the photo I showed the artist(s) multiple times to reference shape). While I expressly mentioned my preference for almond over oval shapes and my desire to retain the length of my nails, the outcome was unfortunately not as expected. The nails I left with were significantly shorter and resembled what I can best describe as Halloween claws, a stark contrast to the elegant almond shape I had envisioned, and requested.
Despite this setback, I want to acknowledge the exceptional pedicure service I received. It was truly amazing and reflective of the high standards I know your salon can achieve. However, the manicure did not meet these same standards. Additionally, I was concerned about the safety practices, as I sustained cuts in four places during the service.
An attempt was made to rectify the manicure after I expressed my concerns and showed the photo again to another staff member. While I appreciate the effort to correct the situation, the outcome still fell short of my expectations. Furthermore, the experience was somewhat marred by the reaction of the gentleman who came over, laughed at the situation, attempted to “fix” my nails, and did not offer an apology or any form of compensation at the time of checkout.
I am bringing these issues to your attention not out of malice, but in the hope that it will be constructive feedback. I believe in the capability and talent within your team, and I am confident that with clear communication and attention to detail, experiences like mine can be improved upon. I had scheduled an appointment one day in advance, so not much time to move schedules around. I did have to wait for a little bit, but it didn’t bother me! I had one person remove my previous acrylics and another do my new set, both were very gentle and considerate! I want to emphasize the fact that no one tried to rip off my old set.
