Panera Bread — Restaurant in Johnston

We arrived at the Johnston store 2 hours before closing, but we were treated like it was an hour after.

The only real indication the store was open was the sign posted with their hours and the unlocked door. Otherwise the cleanup crew was in charge.

The bakery area looked like it had been looted and tossed. I noted the single remaining cookie sitting under the $2.39 each price sign.

The guy who took our order made it clear he was BUSY even though we were the only customers in the store.

My order came out with a spoon with dried chili (or something) on it. It would have been faster for me to go to the kitchen and find one myself. The person cleaning floors (who was the only employee who ever actually spoke to us) tried to help but didn't know where the spoons were. (Already locked up for the night?) She had to go find someone in the kitchen and was gone a LONG time. Finally someone came out who took my spoon and LOOKED at it. I guess it was sufficiently dirty because she took it, waked back into the kitchen and finally came back with another one and gave it to me. All without saying a word.

7 pm Friday night. Store close at 9. I'll guess the "manager" left at six and everyone stuck working had somewhere else they'd rather be.

No wonder they ask for a tip when you order.

If 0 stars was an option, I would have to chose that. After a late work meeting I came to this location half an hour before close, to simply get a bowl of soup to go. The 4 staff were vacuuming and mopping around us and I waited an additional 4-5 minutes before someone came over to help me and my coworker. Instantly the employee was rude and cussing about us being there “5 minutes before close” and I kindly said I believe it’s still about 20 minutes to close. I asked for a bread bowl and she said they wouldn’t get/make me one because it’s too late so I just got plain soup. This lady was very unprofessional and rude and cussing to us and the other staff (in front of us). Just because we came in late. We did get the food and leave well before closing time. Food was fine, customer service was very poor and employees were careless and unprofessional unfortunately. No name tags and couldn’t get a name. Will not...

Two days in a row i ordered a TUNA sandwich and BOTH times i get a turkey sandwich First time mistakes happen i understand got a refund, Great but i still really wanted to TUNA sandwich so im like cool i get it today been craving it surly it couldnt happen again...... AGAIN Turkey sandwich!!! so i called them again for sandwich and refund and she says i have to come get it (mind you i delivered because im not able to leave work) but she wont refund me OR she just will refund me and no sandwich once again.
