TLDR: This park is nice if your kids are able to climb and like climbing a lot, so not a lot to do for young kids. The path isn't huge but it's nicely done, though it is a sunny trail. The fishing areas are nice, I doubt you'll catch big fish but it's a welcome addition. Everything is new and has a nice feel/look to it. Overall it's fairly well done, just lacking on features for different age groups that it is targeted at.
+3 main areas for children, it's almost entirely focused on climbing, so you wont have a lot to do if you children aren't independent climbers yet. The ground is a plastic covered foam type of flooring with a good amount of give to it. +The first has one slide, multiple climbing areas including a rope ladder, multiple rock walls, 2 ladders, and an easy access ramp. +The second area with swings, has 2 normal swings, one toddler, and one handicapped accessible swing. It also has a unique type of swing for older kids. The third area is almost entirely climbing.
+Nice trail though it's without a lot of shade. +Places to fish. +Amphitheater is nicely done, decent size. +Places for a picnic, bathrooms, etc. +Attaches to the senior...
Read moreNew beautiful park! Early morning or evening visits are best as there isn't much shade. Swings, tree house, jungle gym, and a lot of trails/bike paths for exploring. Soft rubber flooring on all the equipment with a lot of climbing equipment. I think they went with the less it's more approach here... There's only one slide, one baby swing, and 2 regular swings. Bonus though, the have the cool hammock swing and a handicapped swing. Lots of nature built into the play set with different bugs and critters in the rock walls and animal tracks laid into the cement paths. Overall a nice park, but if it's crowded you may be wishing there were more...
Read moreWe held a Bible stud and picnic in the main shelter house at Terra Lake Park and it was wonderful. Due to the small size of our group, we didn't reserve in advance but the Parks and Recreation Dept was helpful in letting me know it wasn't reserved by others so it should be no problem getting a spot. Everyone was surprised at how beautiful it was and when darkness began to arrive, the shelter lights came on. Problems..the website Park map should include a detailed park map with all the facilities, parking, trails, restrooms, etc. and attach pictures. Some of the shelters are far from a restroom but the big shelter's...
