Dan's Homemade Candies — Local services in Joliet

I just want to preface by saying I love Dan’s and have never had a problem before. But I went today with my dad and sister because he wanted to treat us and I had the worst experience from one employee. She was very unwelcoming and acted like we were an inconvenience when helping us pick our treats. She had forgotten to put my box in the bag after checkout, ok no big deal, so I called and asked if I could come back and get it to which they said yes of course! I drove back over there and a very sweet employee recognized my face, asked me if my name was (blank), I said yes thank you so much and handed me my box. I was on my way out and the rude employee asked to check my receipt, again no big deal, so I showed her the receipt and she says that we were only charged for what was in front of her. Meaning she forgot my box. I responded with “well I wish someone would have let me know that when I called earlier and drove all the way back” she just looked at me so I left my box there and left. It was supposed to be a treat from my dad and after that interaction I was not going to pay again (our original order was over $100). As much as I love Dan’s I won’t be returning while she works there. Even my sister made a comment to me about how she thought she was rude and not feeling welcome...

Every year I look forward to treating myself and my family with the nut, chocolate, carmel apples. The other day I walked in and there was one other person being checked out. There were two female workers there. I wasn't greeted. I wasn't even acknowledged. I put something on the counter that I wanted to get and stood back. The person was checked out and left and the worker walked in the back. The other person working there also just walked away. It feels like " why the heck did I even come here to give these people business when they can't give me the time of day?" They both clearly saw me there waiting for my turn. It was shocking. It's not how you run a company. I stood there like an idiot. And I stood there way too long before someone came back. Completely forgotten that I was there. So I just tapped on the glass " 2 of those". Obviously, I am Pissed. And the person was like " what ones" like they didn't see what I was clearly pointing at. I was checked out with out a word from the worker. Without a smile to the customer. I'd also like to mention that these apples are about $8 each. That is a crime. An absolute crime. I'm going to find out how to make these myself. I don't want to support a business like this that doesn't understand the basics of...
