Tortilleria Sabor a Mexico, Inc. — Restaurant in Joliet

I never knew how good a tortilla could taste until I started frequenting this establishment. They have a large tortilla making machine that runs down the center of the building constantly spewing out fresh piping hot tortillas which are used to make delicious tacos and can be bought wrapped in tin foil by the dozen. All of the meats are delicous and on the weekends they have big vats of carnitas and barbacoa. They also make their own chips and salsa which are fantastic as well. The tortilleria is an old school family run establishment whos owners are kind and often make me feel more like a friend than a customer. Having never been to Mexico I've always wondered what real homemade mexican food made with passion and integrity tasted like. Having found this place I belive I now know the answer. P.S. Did I come here on a whim a few days ago? Yes. Did i get tacos at 8am in the morning yes? Did it take awhile? probably. I got four steak tacos, a piece of chocolate flan and a cup of jello. They messed up my tacos and didnt add onion and cilantro, no biggie I ate them anyway because after one bite I tasted FIRE. Did I have high expectations for the desserts? Absolutely and they nailed them. 10/10 would go again. P.S. you have to try the flan here...

This place was great, I enjoyed the Pastor Tacos which was seasoned to perfection and fresh tortillas put the cherry on top...Great service...better than anything I've had in Pennsylvania....establishment was clean and the interior had great vibes....will be back when in the area or might go out of my way to come back it was that...
