Update-
Brian contacted me and had replacement box springs delivered which do not make any noise and he tried to work with me on the low quality of my particular couches which unfortunately where already out of production. Much happier with the customer service this time around just wish my couches had been better quality to begin with and didn't need replacing so soon.
I have spent thousands of dollars here and 2 of my items have been disappointing. I bought a value set by Ashley Furniture and right away both couches started to sag, within weeks of purchase a piece of wood stuck out in the back of one with no way to fix it without cutting the fabric open. Also the couch has a opening on the side of cushion that is perfect for loosing controllers, keys, and phones. One part falls in the fabric which can be cut from underneath to retrieve your things but if it falls into a small adjacent wood crevice it is completely enclosed and cannot be retrieved as it is completely enclosed in wood. The last straw was when I bought my bed, mattress, and box spring from them. The installers first of all left the plastic on the box spring and right away my bed made a noise everytime we sat on it. I thought it was the plastic from the box spring but given the mattress was too heavy to lift I just left it on and lived with it. Until we had a baby and everytime we would get in and out of the bed the noise would wake our baby. We finally lifted mattress and took off plastic but noise continued. I called the store and spoke to Henry who said it was the box spring which I confirmed after inspecting further, it seems their box springs have some type of hard plastic pieces on top between the wood and fabric and mattress set in the store? Read moreMy husband and I just moved to KC from south Florida. We didn't know any places around here to buy furniture. We decided to stop in here and get our apartment fully furnished. We were taken care of very fast and picked out what we wanted pretty quickly. They were very knowledgeable and very nice. NOW, to the better part! We waited 3 weeks to get our couch and dining set. 3 WEEKS!!!! 3 WEEKS!!! We were told Union dockworkers were on strike and had to wait due to them not being able to deliver in a timely manner. We received ZERO follow-up calls to see where our furniture was. We sat on lawn chairs and ate off a cardboard box waiting for our furniture. Then, delivery time came and came and went. They told us the furniture was going to be delivered at a certain time, well it wasn't. We had to call to find out where our furniture was. Now, as I type this review, we are waiting now for A MONTH for our bedroom furniture. We just got off the phone with them to find out when that will be delivered. This company has been around since 1937. I don't see how that is possible considering their horrible customer service and ZERO knowledge of why our furniture can't be delivered on time. Read moreI called this store to ensure that before I purchased, my items would arrive by the time I needed them. I spoke with Lore, who notified me that they would be here and they’d deliver. I ordered that night (June 24). About a week later, had heard no follow up so I contacted the store and spoke with Henry. I was notified that because I was from out of state, the system flagged as fraud. The guy that usually follows up with this was on vacation when I ordered, and I slipped through the cracks. They gave me a loner bed until mine became available. I called back the following Wednesday because I had not heard status update, and again spoke with Henry. He notified that now my items were pushed out to end of the following week. He apologized and he began trying to rectify these inconvenience. Lore called me about 45 minutes later to tell me about things they had in stock. They worked swiftly to get those sets in stock. They really did right the wrong, and apologize for everything. Throughout all of it, their customer service was great, and they were great about explaining everything to me.
