This was such a great tour! (Ps I have never written a review before on Google, but this experience was so good that I had to share) ok so first of all I loved how simple everything was. You go to the place, you check in with the front, and then you go sit under the cabana and wait for the tour guide! If you didn’t bring a waterproof phone holder they have some there, and they have a bunch of other things like flippers and snorkels and reef safe sunscreen! Once you meet your tour guide (ours was Brett) they make sure your flippers fit and show you how the super lightweight life vest works and how to use the snorkel. Then they go over the type of fish you might see! There were a few eels on the list, but a lot of colorful fish that we ACTUALLY saw in real life!!! (And turtles!!) after that you get in either your own car and follow the guide or ride with them in the van down to the beach. Parking was right across the street which was great! You then head down to the beach and they put the raft boat in that has handles on the side and you just hold on and ease into the water. The tour guide will tell you exactly what to do and it’s super easy getting in! The guide will have a handle and pull you around and let you go and free snorkel whenever (unless the current is too strong in certain spots) you can go pretty far away from the raft but it does get pretty tiring so staying close by is helpful especially since the raft is moving all the time. I also never had to blow up my vest because I always stayed afloat!! Although the reef isn’t bright and colorful, the fish are! We saw so many cute fish and 3 sea turtles in total!!! I HIGHLY recommend bringing an underwater camera or your phone in a waterproof pouch to get some great pictures! The water was a little murky but that’s ok!! Another reason why this tour was so amazing was because of our tour guide! Brett! He seemed very well educated and knew exactly what to do in every situation! He gave us snacks and drinks after and he would dive down to the bottom to grab small sea urchins and sea cucumbers and put them on the raft to teach us about them!!! He also would tell us so many awesome facts about the fish that we were seeing and he was really kind, happy, and funny!! Overall this tour was amazing for me and my boyfriends very first time snorkeling!!! Thank you Brett!! Tips: wear reef safe sunscreen!! (Even if it’s cloudy you will still get burnt), bring a camera (trust me), stay calm (know there is someone there to help you), don’t swim too far, and voice...

My husband and I signed up for this snorkel adventure during our first trip to Kauai. I can get sea sick so the fact that this tour was from the shore and did not involve a boat was a huge appeal. I have to start by talking about our tour guide, Matt, because I believe he is what made the experience so great. He was friendly, funny, knowledgeable and we could definitely tell he is passionate about the job, the sea life, and Kauai in general. My husband and I have both snorkeled before and our past experiences were "here's your gear, put it on, be back on the boat in an hour." Matt had us all try our gear on beforehand to ensure it all fit properly and that we knew how to use it before getting out in the ocean. He reviewed water and weather conditions with us beforehand, and some of the sea life we might see (including how to respect the sea life). Once at the shore, he gave us step by step instructions to enter the water safely with our gear and as a group. Matt had a raft that we could hold onto if we needed a break from snorkeling or a mask adjustment. He would sometimes instruct us to hold onto the raft so that he could guide us to the right location to snorkel. Matt would point out sea turtles, fish, and other sea life we saw and give us cool facts about it all. He was eager to answer any questions or adjust gear while out in the water. He was also so very patient with a few kids in our group who struggled to listen and follow directions during the snorkel. I truly believe Matt made the experience for us. He was professional, friendly, and all around just a cool guy. At the end of the tour he gave us great recommendations for places to watch the sunset, restaurants to try out, and other tips for exploring the island. My husband and I both agreed he's someone we would totally just want to hang out with while on...
Read moreExcellent! We were looking for a snorkeling expedition that was close to the south shore, had great reviews, and wasn't only 5 hours! Right from the start, we were impressed with the ease of the website and all the information that was provided immediately! Everything that was described online was exactly what we got! We chose the 3 hour trip on the Zodiac for my family, that included a 9 year old. This is not a trip for anyone who does not do well with sea sickness (unless you take something for it); or for anyone with spine problems; or for anyone who is uncomfortable in the open ocean water. So, if you are an adventure seeker, read on!
Phenomenal starting orientation to ensure safety was a priority, and all the items we used were in great condition. From the office staff to the guide to the captain, EVERYONE was so courteous, safety conscious, and knowledgeable! Throughout the whole trip, we were treated to lore and legends, family stories, and technical information! We definitely got our money's worth!
The Zodiac ride out was exactly what we hoped: rugged, exciting, and adventurous! The front of the boat was more of a rollercoaster than the back. Going 35 mph in the open was exhilarating, and no one fell over... not even the 9 year old!
We stopped at a few sites where the guide and captain told us stories of Hawaii, legends of the past, and their connections to the present day. The 2 dive sites were also incredible! We were immediately surrounding by green sea turtles and fish! We even stumbled across some barracudas!
For those who get sea sick as easily as I do, we ensured that I was first in the water and last back on the Zodiac. Luckily, there was very little time in a stationary boat, and most of the time was in the water. At the end of the journey, we were given snacks and drinks.
Ultimately, highly recommend...
