Time stands still here, but things have changed and it has become very busy with locals and tourists clamouring to find parking or crossing the busy intersection without getting hit. Some of the newer shopping and arts plazas have opened up new areas to walk (across from all things âKauai Chickensâ) but those that know Old Koloa town would say this isnât the way it was, and some of the âcharmâ has been lost to population growth. Thereâs better places to shop on the island and so some of the âold townâ shop owners have relocated to accomidate look lol better foot traffic and business opportunites. This was my first time zip lining, but I had heard about experiences that werenât as cool as this thatâs for sure. Itâs more than just sitting and spinning. You also can superman and hang upside down and I was not expecting that, but was totally thrilled and excited to be able to Superman three times. The instructors were awesome. They had great sense of humor plenty of jokes and gave us an added effect to one of our photos. Looks like you might have to go on a trip to see...

There is a bunch of overpriced and overrated shops and restaurants here and if you can't cook, like getting ripped off or buy the 5 star reviews then have at it but know this...there are definitely better places on the island! One last note, not sure if the locals that work in these shops all dislike tourists or just people in general but smiles are hard to find here! Oh and BTW...we went to four restaurants, two grocery stores and three boutique shops and we spent over $1200 in four days, can't say...
