Sorry I’m not good at writing bad reviews. But thought I should share my unfortunate experience with one of the Juror Ms. PE assigned to my case. A selected Juror is expected to be independent and fair but unfortunately she was NOT. She refused to look at my evidence and claimed as a property owner I should be ready to invest in my home. She stated that my repair works are minor works and are not evidences she will consider. After rejecting my evidences she was very proud to give a “Thump up”to a county employee at the end of her presentation of evidence on behalf of the county, this was very strange from a Juror that claimed to be independent. I have never in my little life experience and travels across 4 continents meet someone with genuine bias. She single handed valued my home without taking into consideration the evidence I submitted and the 2 other Jurors Yea it. At the beginning of my hearing one of the juror said that they have not seen any evidence on my case prior to my hearing but what a coincidence a jury member valued my home the same amount (including the .00) I was offered online……..independent!!! I explained to her that my home situation is different and we should not discuss it based on a generic values presented by the county, but she ignored my plea. With the increase in our home value by her and accepted by county our taxes will increased significantly that we might not afford payment. My plea to Kaufman county is to please select Jurors that can hear cases with fairness. I went to the KCAD office yesterday, 4/17/25,at approx. 4pm., to get help filling out my homestead exemption form and a few other things. I have slight mobility issues, and the first person to greet me when I walked in, was the most helpfu, kindest, and beautiful young lady named Savannah!

I told her what I was needing help with and she promptly hooked me up with Miss Maria Penny. Miss Penny went through all the paperwork I brought with me, helped me fill out my form accurately, and choose which documents would help me the most with my filing. Once Ms.Penny had finished helping me, Savannah was right there waiting to help take my bag to my truck, for me. Both of these EXTREMELY kind, helpful,and beautiful young ladies, probably felt like they were just doing their job, but to me, they were making me feel like a best friend/family, during a time in my life I needed it most!

So THANK YOU, Savannah and Ms. Penny, for making me feel like I matter, and for the outstanding Customer Service, in a career field that I can only imagine receives very few Thank you's!

I called today regarding contesting my property taxes. After speaking with a lady who identified that they had the wrong address for me and requested that I speak with Juan Ortiz. She transferred me over and Juan also acknowledged the wrong address in their system for me. Places me on hold for an extended period of time. Can back to tell me his manager Jessica stated that unfortunately, we can’t allow me to contest my taxes but that they did fix my address him their system. They acknowledged that they had the wrong address for me because I never received the notice to contest. Juan had me on hold as if he was advocating for me only for him to tell me that he didn’t try to explained anything other than I missed the deadline. Which is because they had the wrong address for me. Unacceptable. I would like to speak with Julie who Juan claims to be the manager over Jessica(his boss). Juan transferred me to Julie of course I got a voicemail. Poor customer service especially on Juan’s end. He was horrible. I see why this office has such...
