I been here 3 times. The first time was great, Rick was the best barber ever. He no longer works there, n im glad hes not part of that hostile inviroment. The second time i went i was greated by Josue with a "were closed! Come back tomorow!" But with an attitude. I came in 10 mins before closing time. I literally had to beg to get a haircut. Jose called out another barber who came from the back and also had a bad attitude and told me he couldn't do the haircut that I wanted that he can only do a simple haircut. The situation was already very hostile so I decided to get up and walk away. I thought about never coming back but I said maybe I'm just overreacting. So i called a few days later to speak to the owner about what happend, and behold! Josue answers and says its no ones fault this happend, that he'll relay my complaint, of course he didn't. So I decided to go one last time but I wanted to do everything by the books. I scheduled an appointment thru the website. Then I get a text with a link obviously I didn't click on it. then a phone call it's Jose and he's telling me that he wants to cancel my appointment, but I was already on my way. When i got there he was attending a client. After he finished I noticed he didn't rang him up. The client gave them $40 cash and he put it in his pocket.i was next, Josue than began telling how he has so many clients that are he's regulars and that he was basically doing me a favor by taking me right now. Though I had an appointment. I asked him why did he send me that link he said that he preferred me scheduling through his website instead. My cut was about 7 - 10 mins. He rushed it through because he had one of his regulars waiting. Its an ok cut nothing to brag about. When it was time for me to pay I handed him $40 cash and again he put it into his pockt it never went into the register. This whole demeanor was just very hostile
So for the owners reading this know that when you're not there it's a free-for-all they do whatever they want and talk to the customer however they want....
Read moreI have been cutting my hair with Josue for about two years. I have no complaints about his skills as a barber, he's great. The reason I am writing this review is because of an issue I had recently when booking an appointment with Josue. I have a job interview today (May 3) so I decided to book an appointment for 6pm on Saturday May 1, 2021 with Josue. About 30 minutes before the appointment, he called to cancel and asked me to reschedule for the next day (Sunday May 2). I called Josue and told him that that there were no appointments available for Sunday as Josue is usually off on Sundays. Josue insisted that he would come in on Sunday May 2 at 10am to give me a cut, I would have gladly come in on Monday morning instead of making him come in on his day off. I showed up on Sunday at 10am and there was no one at the shop, it was closed. It turns out that the shop doesn't open up until 10:30am on Sundays. I waited in my car from 10am to 10:50am. While I was waiting. I noticed that there were three barbers and three other customers all waiting outside the shop until about 11am when a fourth barber showed up with the keys to open up for the day. Josue never showed. I called him a few times and sent him two text messages, no response. I decided to show up at 8:30am on Monday to see if Josue could squeeze me in. I walk into the barbershop at 8:30am and Josue doesn't even bother to acknowledge what happened on Sunday. He simply tells me that if I want to sit around and wait, he has some availability at 11:30am. As I mentioned earlier, I have an interview at 1pm and I was not able to sit around and wait for 3 hours for a haircut. I thought I was a valued customer but I guess not. Won't...
Read moreGorilla barbers is one of the best barbershops in all of Miami, and definitely the best one located in Kendall. I cannot say enough good things about this barbershop. Abraham's and his team are skilled and extremely attentive. The service I have received here has been unmatched. I travel down from Sarasota just to sit in Abraham's chair. The team and establishment is family friendly, you feel like you're walking into somewhere that feels familiar, it feels like I'm coming to see my cousin and just spend an hour getting pampered, catching up, laughing, it's always a great time whenever I visit. Oh and when I mentioned skills, it's evident that Abraham has years of experience. I have literally walked in with my freshly rolled out of bed hair and I leave always feeling like a million bucks. This is the place to get your next haircut! Trust Abraham will take...
