Grecian Steak House — Local services in Kennett

We just recently moved to the area and have been trying out places to eat. This place has such good reviews we decided to give it a try. Maybe they were just having an off day yesterday because the experience we had was nothing like the reviews we read. We are a family of 6 and our food was served very quickly. Appetizer of mozzarella sticks were not served hot. My grandson ordered the chicken nuggets kids meal and a side of Mac n cheese. They forgot to bring his Mac n cheese but did so a short time later after we reminded them. One son ordered a ribeye medium rare with steak fries and mashed potatoes. He said his ribeye was cooked to perfection. His mashed potatoes were cold. One son ordered chicken tenders steak fries and mashed Mac n cheese. They forgot his Mac n cheese as well but once again, did bring it a short time later after being reminded. Other son ordered the lemon fish steak fries with white rice and mashed potatoes. Fish was like rubber and it along with the rice both tasted like they were cooked in a microwave. Steak fries weren't cooked all the way. Mashed potatoes were cold. My husband ordered the steak bites with peppers mushrooms and onions green beans and mashed potatoes. Steak was like rubber and his potatoes were cold as well. I ordered a steak tenderloin with shrimp well done loaded baked potatoes fried okra and side of peppers onions and mushrooms. Steak was dried out completely burnt and no seasonings for flavor at all. The mushrooms peppers and onions tasted as if they were a couple days old and reheated in the microwave. The potato was so dried out butter didn't even help and I never received the shrimp that was supposed to come with the meal even after we asked about it. When the waitress served us our plates she asked us about steak sauce and we requested some but she never came back with it. My husband had to walk to the desk to ask for it again. The server brought refills for 2 people at the table and never returned for the rest of the time we were there. This was the absolute worst steak house we have ever been to. We spent $165 there just to leave hungry and end up ordering pizza at the bowling alley we went to. Like I said at the beginning, maybe they were just having an off day yesterday but we will not return to this place nor will I ever recommend it to friends/family who...

Edited: My rating from 5 stars to 3 stars) Tomatoes have been very sour green inside mushy the last 20 orders, like all year pretty much & the burgers have now got way smaller & you can tell there is one cook who makes the burgers bigger & a great flavor then the next time you can tell a different cook did them because they are smaller & the taste is not the same it's worse, they are stingy with the sour cream and butter when you get a baked potato and ask for extra, the baked potatos use to be huge and the burgers I was able to eat half and the rest the next day now I can eat my entire burger and the baked potato because the potatoe is so much more smaller now and the burger too, when you ask for shredded cheese you want it in a cup to put it yourself instead they'll give you hot Mushy mixed shredded cheese melted in the cup that sticks together instead of regular shredded that you can sprinkle it or they'll take that same mushy nasty mixed shredded cheese stuck together & put it on your potato for you and it's absolutely disgusting that way that you have to scrape it off...

I will not return to this restaurant, The Waitress was Rude and yelled at me and my company I had with me because they got the order wrong. I tried to explain what I ordered and the waitress yelled at me and argued with me until she got the order ticket and seen I was right I did order the 10 oz Top Sirloin and not the 8 oz Ribeye steak. I ordered the Porterhouse, when I got it. It looked like a small T-bone an 10 fries. The menu said The Porterhouse is 2 types of steaks a T-bone an a filet mignon steak . I asked about that when I got it and the waitress and another waitress from another table started yelling at me over what I asked because I asked for a menu to show what I was talking about. Everyone that was in the restaurant around me stopped what they was doing and watched everything that was going on. Had 3 police officers at the table next to me seeing they whole thing. I was so embarrassed that restaurant would treat people from out of town so horrible for trying to show someone a happy 65th Birthday. I will not return to the Kennett Missouri Grecian...
