I never complain about restaurants but I think if you eat here, you would need to be aware. I ordered a small bbq and an APPETIZER of fried pickles. The total was over $13 which is normal for what I ordered (or I thought). An appetizer is meant for 3/4 people to share which is why they are typically priced 6-12$. I ordered in plan to share the pickles with my 2 kids. The shock on my face when I opened this “APPETIZER” and it had a whopping 10 small pickles. There’s no way 10 small pickles should be priced at almost $7. This was a side of pickles meant for 1 person that should be 3.99 not 6.50. If you want to label it as an “app” it should be double what was there for people to actually SHARE! This is simply greed from a restaurant. Just look at a chicken breast price.. I know food prices are high but this is a new level of greed. I also decided to look up restaurants around that have fried pickles as an app and let me say it was the same price and double the amount. LIKE IT SHOULD BE. Shameful & I will not be back. Also there was some chatter with the male employees about things I won’t mention. Very unprofessional with customers standing right there. I really enjoyed this restaurant before they moved locations. Something hasn’t been the same since. I’ve attached a picture of my appetizer, hope it gives everyone a good laugh. The bbq was delicious, that’s the shame here. Good bbq for...
Read moreHad a small job in Kennett, MO. Don't normally eat lunch, but decided I would get something to munch on during my trip back to Poplar Bluff. I Googled..."good food in Kennett, MO"....and B2Q BBQ was the first place to pop up. I stopped in and wasn't sure if I wanted to try it. It didn't have much curb appeal and really didn't look much like a restaurant....plain white building with a sign propped up on the ground and a simple neon open sign next to the door. I was drawn in anyway just out of curiosity. Inside wasn't much better. Very small cramped room with enough tables squeezed in to accommodate about 15-20 people, MAX. I was greeted as soon as I got in the door by a friendly young lady behind the register. She asked if I wanted to dine in or carry out......carry out being my choice. They had a delicious array of food choices, making it a little difficult to choose. My eyes were drawn to the Pork Steak sandwich. I got it wet (sauced) with a little coleslaw and a cup of lemonade to wash it down. This was the BEST BBQ sandwich I've ever eaten!!! Meat was very tender, juicy and flavorful!! Sauce was just sweet enough and bun was very soft. This place fits the old saying....."Don't judge a book by it's cover." I will DEFINITELY be going back to try other selections on their menu. You need to give them a try. They also have a "drive thru"...
Read moreI have ate there in the restaurant a couple times the past few weeks which I usually get drivethru The food is always wonderful and it’s to bad the service don’t match. The woman with dark hair was real rude and made me feel like we was bothering her by eating at a table. She never checked in on our table and my son had to walk our cups up to the counter to get refills while she standing there talking to another employee. She gave him attitude that she had to refill them. The other time last week I tried asking about things on the menu and she was real snippy and made me feel like I was asking dumb questions. She acted that way to the other tables by me to so it wasn’t just picking on me. The good thing is that the real good food makes things better. I had been telling my son that lives in Texas how good it was and when I finally got a chance to let him see for hisself it wasn’t a good experience other than the food. I’ll just stick to the drivethru...
