I left the 18th St store, in Kenosha, WI this past Monday, very disturbed over how a staff member & the Manager, Jamie, left me feeling⦠Not Valued -and- Unwelcomed!
When I entered the store and saw at least one employee look up at me then quickly look away without any bit of a greeting, I noticed the next several customers who entered after me were ALL GREETED with a hearty āwelcomeā to the store. I thought twice about addressing this matter but while having experience in retail & customer service ā I know that providing a positive EXPERIENCE for All Patrons is paramount!
Still electing to shop for some needed items, I noticed a staff member seemingly straightening shelves out of nowhere & not far from me at different times. Not once did this young man greet me nor ask if he could help me. However, I did solicit his help with a question I had. With my retail background I clearly know & understand how loss prevention can be minimized with great customer service. While I didnāt get the courtesy of a mere greeting, ie. Customer Service (like others) when I entered the store, I instead received ācustomer serviceā by a staff member being posted-up to watch me while I shopped.
Once getting to the checkout, I asked the cashier if there was a manager I could speak with and he called her up. I asked her if staff pick/choose whom they care to acknowledge upon entering the store? She said, āNo, there is no standard or requirement for acknowledging each and every customer.ā Her demeanor & tone suggested that she didnāt care about my concern or experience and in the most unprofessional manner, eventually decided to just walk off while still talking with her entire backside facing me. She eventually tossed in a disingenuous āIām sorryā before quickly disappearing down an aisle & out of sight ā Wow!? As I was getting into my car I noticed that she had come out into the parking lot appearing to be surveying it or somethingā¦idk?
Nonetheless, my experience in this Walgreens left me with a feeling of disappointment. Iāve never felt this type of disregard in any of your stores. I live near this store and am well aware of the cultural dynamics that exist in this particular county. I hope you can look into this matter, make sure you have the right type of staff in managerial roles and provide me something that assures me, you value...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreIāve been coming here for 6 years and have never had any issues until the last few months. I have a severe medical condition and when my provider has called in medications that are urgent it now takes hours to fill, sometimes a day or more when it used to be 15-30 minutes. I have to call every time now to get it ready sooner. Iāve noticed rudeness with staff lately. One employee Maranda not too long ago even asked me what I was using my medication for loudly in front of a whole line of people. My significant other was with me and couldnāt believe it. That is against Hippa. She was also complaining about her job and being rude In front of everyone. Extremely unprofessional and it is none of the pharmacy technicians business or need to begin with to know those things. Iāve been hung up on in the middle of asking questions when I call. There was a time they were out of stock of my medication and due to an app error it transferred to a different Walgreens but the pharmacist said she verified they had it in stock there. I drove very far just to find out that was not true. Iāve been given wrong medications a few times which is ridiculous and wrong. I should not have to worry about if my medication is actually what it is. If they are short staffed I donāt mind waiting at all if it is going to be correct. It is obvious the technicians are not reading and verifying information. Sometimes they donāt even ask for my name just my birthday and they donāt even verify which medications they have for me. Today I went in to get a medication I absolutely needed and was given toothpaste instead. It was not even busy. I was the only customer there. I had surgery yesterday and needed my medication urgently. Iām glad I noticed right away. I came back and they fixed it right away, gave me my correct medications and a refund. We are not perfect and mistakes happen but this is reoccurring. This shouldnāt happen and it has happened multiple times. Iāve worked in healthcare for 6 years, including pharmaceuticals and all of this is wrong and not proper practice. These are all things that can be avoided. I donāt think I will be coming to this...

Normally the service is really good on the store end. The actual pharmacist that work there are really good. However I guess I'll start fighting this incredibly uncomfortable sinus infection tomorrow. And yes, I've had issues with them in the past, but they really rely on you simply being happy you have your prescription after the fact. The store get a solid 5. The the pharmacy on the other...
