I remember seeing this shop getting ready to open and I was honestly excited, maybe I'd finally reach my hand out in playing actual TCG
Since then I've mainly avoided the shop, because the few times I went I was glanced at before their attention was back to whoever they were chatting with over the counter. I've never received a hello, or any form of greeting, I've had to call someone over many times just to look at something, only to have whatever it is put in front of me as the employee goes back to chatter with other customers
I've started going more often more recently the past several months only because there are two employees I actually enjoy interacting with. Two of however many work at this store, the only two who have ever greeted me in the dozens of times I've come to this store
Last week when I visited was honestly the reason why I finally decided to leave a review, I understand I had came in fairly late, an hour before closing, but to be completely ignored standing across the counter patiently while the employee continued to chat Magic with another customer for 15 minutes, not giving a single look my way, before finally I had a chance to ask to look at a binder because there wasn't a single pause in conversation is crazy. Afterwards, I have the binder handed to me, and suddenly the new people who had walked in looking at the board games got more attention, once again I'm left waiting very long to where the other employee focused on pricing and various other tasks needed to assist me because it was clear the other employee was not returning
I do feel bad for coming in late usually, I especially felt bad picking up singles and having to get them priced after the 30 minutes I waited in total just to see what I wanted, but consider this is a common occurrence no matter what time of day I'm in, there's an issue
Nor do I like being picky about being greeted, a simple nod my way or calling out from wherever they are telling me to ask questions if I need help is perfect, but when I stand for 15+ minutes without being asked anything, even if I want to look at something, and this again is a common occurence, there's an issue
When issues I've had since near the opening of this store are still going on, something fundamental must change
This isn't even covering the complete lack of organization, I'm not sure how organized it is for Magic or the other TCG they sell but Pokemon is all over the place, having a new system almost every time I'm there. Are there boxes? Are there binders? Are the valuable cards in the case or are they suddenly in binders now?
The extra star is for the two employees who've greeted me and taken a genuine interest in me, we've had wonderful...

I don't see you disputing the following facts:
In addition, for you to attack me and my review of your business as "disingenuous" and a "personal vendetta" is further evidence that you don't dispute the facts.
I will tell you what IS genuine: I think posting bad reviews of a business is generally poor practice. However, three years after the transaction took place, and learning you ripped me off, led me to inform the public of how you operate your business, so that people have data to make informed decisions.
However, if you make me an offer to resolve this transaction, much could be resolved. What is your offer?
Original Review February 2025: Owner sold me an Angus Mckenzie (italian) a few years ago for the price of the English version. HUGE difference! Yes, i should have done my research at the time, but you would think the owner of a shop would be aware of the difference. I don’t like to leave poor reviews, but this time i am warning the public. Check prices before purchase! In addition, the owner is unpredictable with his policies. When presented with the change of policy in a very rude manner i challenged him back (i won’t be pushed around by anybody), i was told to never return (i had already decided i would not return). In business, it is crucial to make it as easy as possible for the consumer to do business with...
Read moreDANGER! Dont sell your singles here. There is a lot of trust afforded to local card shops by the community, and as a returning player I believed that this shop would do right by me while I modernized my collection.
The employee searched my mtg, picked and valued some cards, and we made a singles 4 singles trade. I then break out the Pokémon binder and we do the same. I am trusting their prices as they are experts and im essentially a new player.
I am about to make a second deal when i notice there are some 10+year old NM promos and secret rares they've picked from my collection that should make my trade value much higher. I ask how much value they added and I was told $2 each. I was skeptical so I triple checked them with a different employee using TCGPlayer.
They were Zoroark 102 Next Destinies $55 Flareon 12 Dark Explorers Regionals Promo Stamped $70
Minty fresh, i collected them as a teen and put them straight into binders. If graded PSA9/10 they both easily pass $100.
I would like to think this was an honest mistake, but the fact that they get paid to get this right, and both mistakes were in their favor just doesn't sit right. They knew I didn't know values and saw I was taking their word on prices. There was a new employee and a trainee both working with me interchangably. The newbie was the one who helped me realize the real value of my cards, while the experienced worker didn't. Makes you think..
Don't patronize this shop. I hate to think what they've stolen from clueless youngsters just looking to trade their charizard...
