Been going here since i was in second grade, so roughly almost 20 years. My family used to have a shop in the shopping center, so my cousin and i (Tony and David) used to walk over and eat almost every week after school.
Get the Chicken Katsu. I kid you not, it’s the best Katsu i’ve ever had. Out of all the teriyaki joints in the area, hands down, they make it best. It’s crispy, crunchy, tender and just the right amount of chew! Paired with rice, salad and their katsu sauce. You won’t get none of that dry, soggy and fall off breading like you do at other places.
Also, if you’re not a fried food fan, their Chicken Teriyaki is delicious! Classic, tender, moist chicken with rice. My #2 next to Chicken Katsu.
For the owner and their family, Thank you for serving the community for the last 2 decades. As a kid to an adult, i’ve always felt so welcomed every time i stepped in. I will always drive across towns just to come and eat here. Thank you, and will see you again and again!
P.S. to the family: If it is ever time for the owners to retire, please dm the Katsu recipe!...
Read moreI don't know how they got 4.5 stars on average. The food is below average by far. I got chicken stir fry and it was flavorless. The veggies were 2 pieces of broccoli, 1 slice of carrot, 1 slice of mushroom, a few pieces of shredded cabbage and about 1/2 an onion. I like onions, but this was overkill and it would have been nice to have some other veggies. The chicken was pretty dry and again flavorless. I paid $2 extra for fried rice and it was terrible. I asked for no carrots and no peas and they were going to substitute other veggies. It had no veggies except for an incredible amount of, yep, onion again. The onion was crunchy! It also had a very tiny amount of egg. The rice was also dry and pretty flavorless and for sure not worth the extra $2 I paid. We got three meals and none of them were very good. I can't say they were bad, just that they weren't good. If it were something I had eaten there (we did tske out) I would have sent it back. I won't be returning... There is a great teriyaki place in Kent that I will be going back to and a really great one in...
Read moreThey have overcharged a few times. Never by much, usually for just under a dollar. Not a big deal, I just think of it as part of the tip. If you care about that just check your receipt.
The teriyakis and the chicken katsu are ok. If you are looking for Thai food, this is not the place to go. Is pricey and disappointing.
I have ordered to go over the phone a few times, arrived 10-15 later and still had to wait for the food for an extra 15 min. Most of the time your phone order will be ready in 15 - 20min.
Overall just ok. Convenient location.
Edit: They are getting very stingy with the sauces. Barely any flavor. Portions have gotten smaller, quality has declined and prices have risen 13%.
I can understand the raise in prices due to the inflation and it's upsetting to receive less quality than expected for a higher price.
Either raise the price and keep the same quality or lower the quality and keep the lower price;...
