I recently went here with a friend for her birthday, I have my own nail salon I go to in Federal Way (Nail Trix). My friend talked very highly of this location since she's been going there for over 5 years. I had a VERY horrible experience with Jennifer. She talked me into getting the new "powder" material since it was more natural etc, which is fine. My problem was the way she did it (see picture) I had to pretty much constantly tell her which areas she missed and show her mistakes. She would go over it every time (instead of redoing it)making the polish very lumpy and not smooth at all. She acted like it was ok. IT LOOKED HORRIBLE!! I finally gave up and simply wanted the visit over with. She charged me $35!!!! I DID NOT TIP! (I ALWAYS TIP) I come home and really look at my nails(picture shown) I wasn't happy with them. They were so ugly, even I do a better job at home. I finally gave in when my husband even noticed how bad shape they were, even people at work thought a younger child did my nails! So I had my friend contact Jennifer and have her fix this HORRIBLE job! Which ive never had to do. She surprisingly did and was so rude the whole time, it seemed like she was just doing it to shut me up! She refused to have a convo with me, was very short and had an ugly serious face the whole time. I did not feel comfortable! She did shellac on top but didn't even do a base coat, she went straight to the polish and didn't let my nail go through the UV long enough causing the polish to chip THAT SAME DAY(see picture). Its so ridiculous it makes me laugh. My friend obviously feels embarrassed but it aint her fault at all. I WOULDNT GO BACK HERE AGAIN! I guess that's what happens when you give another nail salon a try when you already have a preffered location.

The picture with minty polish was from the first time getting them done and the brownish polish is from going back to her 2 days later and her "supposedly" fixing it. Nail chipped that same day! You can see old polish and over flow of new polish. I took these pics immediately after they were done! HORRIBLE SERVICE!

UPDATE:::: she clearly wrote back but I will not be returning! In no way did she ask if I was satisfied. She simple said I was done! And I had no more patience to tell her what wasn't right! Also, charging me another $15 would of been even more ridiculous after the job you did! Ain't like it made a difference. No need to sound nice on here. Good...

I thought I had had a bad experience at other places, but this was the worst experience I have ever had in a nail salon. I had read the reviews and thought okay I'll try it out I've been looking for a salon for 2 years. I wanted to do dip nails so I called and made an appointment verifying that they did dip nails what happened next was the worst experience ever especially when it was a mom and daughter day to do our nails here's what happened. We went in and had to wait even though I had made an appointment for a mani pedi we were led to the Pedicure Chairs and my chair the water was too hot then it was cool down and then it was too cold and the plastic liner somehow got caught and so the massage function did not work on my feet next. Next I tried to operate the chair and the control was broken and so it was hard to tell what worked and what didn't but mostly it did not work. After my pedicure I was led to a table to have my nails done with a nail dip this was The Nightmare of my experience. Where do I begin first my nails were in very healthy condition and she use the mechanical sander to sand off the healthy part of my nails then the area around my nails was not cleaned up and it was left just with a lot of hangnails and extra skin, there is no manager service other than to paint my nails, oh I forgot to mention using the sent the sanding device to file away my cuticles. The dipping of my nails was a clear layer dip my mail clear layer dip my nail clear layer dip my nail I had so many layers on my nails that my hairstylist commented do you have acrylics on and I said no that's what I got for my nail dip she was shocked. They're also bubbles on one of my nails, I requested for my nails to be rounded as in almond- shaped, I got a square nail with rounded corners. My daughter went through a similar experience only she paid for tips and then we went to pay our bill my daughter was charged double for her services they reimbursed her after acknowledging the error but they still over charged her for the service she received. We will never return to this salon and we have told others in the area that are friends not...

Everytime I set an appointment, I always end up having to wait for 30min to 1 hour so IDK what the point of an appointment is. I had an appointment set up for Saturday. I came and I showed the girl what I wanted and said she was able to do it. Ofc course I always have a back up just in case and as I was trying to show her my second option, she walked away and said take my time. I was like okay… I waited 40min and finally asked the manager how long it would take? Since my appointment was 5pm and now it was 5:40pm. She told me since I was looking for another option they took another customer and it was 2 of them. They didn’t ask me if I was ready, they just took another customer. I was very upset and told her nvm and left cause I was not about to wait another hour to be helped. I had another incident before this as well and I had some lady named Kelly doing my nails, she completely ignored everything I said. I told her when she was cutting my nails down that it was too short, I wanted them longer and she didn’t want to start over so she ignored me. Mind you she could have easily restarted, she didn’t even put the powder thing on. Also one of my nails were crooked and she told me it was my finger 🥴 like huh. So the next time I came for a full set, Kelly was trying to do my nails again but I told her that I didn’t want her doing my nails. She asked why and I told her it’s because she messed up my least set and didn’t listen to me and she had the nerve to give me an attitude. That’s strike 3 for me and I will no longer be going here anymore. I only chose this nail place because it was closer to me and for a moment everything was good but I’d rather make the drive to my original nail place in Burien than...
