My father who served was buried there many years ago, what stood out for me then and still does, was the respect and dignity shown him throughout the entire service and interment. My mother passed two years ago and as in many cases she wanted to be buried with my dad, her husband. I was not surprised by the consistent level of respect and dignity afforded her as was my father. I know that this cemetery is known for it's beauty and the president whom is buried there, but for me, it will always stand out as a place where the men and women who served (and their spouses) receive that final show of thanks via the dignity and respect of the final service they receive. I can't find the words to express my gratitude at how they treated my parents when they were laid to rest, in my opinion it was no less dignified than you'd expect for a high ranking officer or even a president.
