OMG! Fabulous Friday evening find! Am I EVER glad I pulled into the Brownsboro Road Shopping Center to check messages on my smartphone; while parked, I noticed Noosh Nosh was open for dinner. As I walked toward the restaurant, I noticed a placard announcing Tuscan Salmon as their Friday night special, and salmon was what I had planned to eat that night. I walked into the restaurant to a very comfortable ambience with a talented keyboard player playing soft and appropriate background music. I ordered the last remaining special, Tuscan Salmon, which was an 8 oz grilled salmon on top of mashed potatoes with sauteed spinach, cherry tomatoes, fresno chiles and a rich cream sauce. Delicious fails to describe just how tasty was this entree offering! I enjoyed every bite and felt as though I was experiencing one of Louisville's finest dining venues. Mistakenly, I had thought Noosh Nosh was open for breakfast and lunch only. My meal was exceptionally enjoyable, the service was professional and friendly and the ambience was perfect for a lovely Friday evening! I suspect I have found another favorite place for dinner. Knowing how marvelous my meal and experience was, I now look forward to sampling lunch at Noosh Nosh. I wish a marvelous dining experience for you, too, at Noosh Nosh!
UPDATE: I went back to Noosh Nosh the next night for another salmon dish. My meal was, again, absolutely delicious, and the service such that I felt like a valued VIP! I ordered the Salmon Al Forno, which was a perfectly prepared salmon with oven-roasted carrots, cauliflower, brussels sprouts, ponzu glaze and parsley. I learned 'noosh nosh' is a Persian phrase meaning 'deIicious food', and delicious is what my meals have been at Noosh Nosh. I enjoyed my meal on the patio outside during a beautiful Saturday evening, which was complemented by meeting a charming couple seated across the aisle from me, married 50 years and with whom I enjoyed delightful conversation after dinner. An absolutely scrumptious meal, enviable attentive service, beautiful weather and charming company all together made for an exquisite Saturday evening! Wishing you a splendid dining...
Read moreFirst time visit to Noosh Nosh. Already thinking about when we can return. Took my wife here for our 2 year anniversary dinner. The food selection, ambience and price drew us in. This is truly upscale food for casual dining prices. We arrived early at 5pm, made a reservation but was not needed for this time slot. Later times better be sure to make one on the weekend. This place was full around 6:30pm. All the staff was friendly and welcoming. Food and drinks were absolutely amazing. Highly recommend the goat cheese tomato dip(our favorite)and pizza. The beef skewers white sauce was not our favorite, next time we would order without it. The brussel sprouts were toasted and perfectly seasoned. The pizza crust was perfect crisp and held together. We really enjoyed the live music that started around 5:30pm on Saturday. The skylights were a perfect addition to the ambience allowing light to change with the clouds passing by. It was amazing to watch all the food coming from the pizza oven and the fire from the grill in the kitchen. The bourbon wall was mesmerizing and definitely tempting if we were bourbon drinkers. The food and drink selection was perfect for any family or group. Drinks from the bar were strong, flavorful and worth the price. We will be back so we can try more of the menu and have some other...
Read moreWest was a good server. Prices were okay maybe high. Host wouldn't look me in the eye or return kindness. Table was sticky had to clean it. Cooks smiled. Food was good quality for sure and kids had a good time. Wish I could give four and a half stars. It is a very pretty place. Tip suggestions. Are non standard and too high starting at 20% Let me explain tips to the world as tips don't inflate and COVID is no excuse to gouge: 10% - horrible 12% - needs work 15% - good job 18% - great job 20% - I want you to marry my kids.
You see percentages ARE scale. They don't change with Bidenflation. So unfortunately any time I have to explain this to a place I am disappointed. However when the price is high this is definitely price gouging the customer since high prices get a higher %
I left a 19% tip and that means I loved West. But nothing about this place deserves 20% let alone 28%. At least it wasn't 30% which I have actually seen before. Disgusting attempts to rob the consumer for mismanagement. My suggestion is learn the tip culture of USA and work on the greeting and then restaurant area will fill up. When we are the only family coming I to an empty place, be...
