I ordered from GrubHub. I ordered a Pork Won ton appetizer and Chicken pad Thai.
I specifically put in the order, medium heat for the pad Thai.
Upon receiving my order from the delivery driver, the Won Tons were, A, cold. B, overcooked, to the point where they were inedible.
The "Chicken" pad Thai, firstly, smelt horrible, and had a mixture of chicken, and tofu mixed in. I could have delt with that, but to fix my medium spice? They just included a ramekin full of premixed spice to mix myself.
I'm sorry, I don't know the first thing about a Thai food spice level. That's why I asked. If I wanted to mix it myself, I would have said, "keep spices on the side."
This order seems like it was made with a whole bunch of, 'don't care.'
Definitely not worth $19 dollars as advertised on GrubHub for the chicken pad Thai.
Most definitely not worth $9 for over-fried won tons.
I'd like to add, I have eaten here in person. The food was excellent. It was correct and cooked to order. I understand that getting a delivery will always differ from in-person experience.
But the food should not be delivered burnt, nor incorrectly. Also, if I can request a medium spice in the restaurant, and not have to add my own seasoning, I should get a medium spice in the delivery. I understand that Thai food has a different level of spice compared to what most people are are accustomed to, and that's why I always order a medium spice. It's what I'm used to. When I have to add my own spice, it kind of throws a wrench in the mix because I don't know what exactly is the...
Read moreWow, the food here is amazing. We had almost given up on finding good thai food in Louisville since moving here 2.5 years ago. But finally we have found the best in town. Atmosphere is lovely, very cozy and intimate. Service was perfect. My family and I are from Thailand and all of the dishes were very authentic. We ordered: tod mun pla, the curry puff, tom yum (papaya salad), tom ka gai (soup), gai yang (grilled chicken), pad thai w/ chicken and shrimp, khao pad pu (crab fried rice), pla tod nam pla (fried fish), and laab moo (ground pork salad). The standouts were the pad thai and fried rice. My mom was over-the-moon in love with the flavors 😍 and for me it’s the best I have had in six years. So delicious! The pad thai flavors were just perfect and not too sweet. The fried rice was the perfect balance of salty but not too much salt! Prices were on par for the quality of the food, we were all VERY happy. You get what you pay for. We will definitely be back very soon. I think my family will visit more often now that they know this is here 😊 Make a reservation if possible, they were quite...
Read moreFirst time ordering from their brick-and-mortar location. Immediately hesitant once we saw that the majority of the noodle dishes were priced at $19. I understand food costs are high, and that this is a relatively new location so we decided to bite the bullet and give them a shot!
Disappointed to say the least. We ordered two dishes, Drunken Noodles & Pad Thai. The thing that jumps at you right away is the portion size. Both dishes were less than half of the portion you'd receive at either Simply Thai or Bahn Thai & M. At almost $5 more per serving than their competitors, it feels like a kick in the teeth.
The Drunken Noodles were delicious flavor-wise, and hot enough to have my lips screaming for 30 minutes after, but the Pad Thai was dull, flavorless, and just plain sad. The tofu was lacking any kind of seasoning and felt pretty phoned in.
As a food service industry veteran, I just can't recommend this restaurant. The prices need to come down, and the portions need reevaluated. If all the other Thai restaurants can flourish while selling dishes at a $15 price point, they should...
