Unfortunately, the owner Jeff Lutz employs questionable business practices. On the last night of our vacation, I purchased 2 bundles of firewood from The Hub (we made several other purchases from the store during our time there). It rained that night, so we were not able to use it in the fire pit at the home we rented. The firewood stayed dry and still in its original packaging as I never took it out of the car. Since I was unable to use the firewood and unable to take it with me (can’t take firewood on a commercial flight) I attempted to return it to The Hub for a refund. Jeff Lutz and his staff rudely refused to honor the refund request. Jeff oddly compared returning unused, packaged firewood to returning a half-eaten sandwich (so weird). I challenged Jeff on his store’s return policy (nothing posted anywhere stating firewood sales are final) he completely disregarded me, and refused to hear me out. When I tried to plead my case, they demanded I leave the store, claiming I was causing a disruption to the other customers (the store was literally empty other than me). Great job guys! Clearly you REALLY needed that $21.20. LMAO! I left the firewood in the front of the store by the display. Enjoy!
In response to “The Hub Owner”, you’re correct, Jeff was not physically present in the store; however, the young lady working in the store called him from her cell phone and I spoke with him directly. Nothing I stated in my review was false or exaggerated. Yes, in response to being rudely disregarded by Jeff and being demanded to leave the store by the young lady working the register, I took the packaged firewood from the trunk of my vehicle and tossed it in front of the rest of your firewood displayed at the entryway of your store and left. No lies or exaggeration here my friend. Your claim that you would have honored the refund is a boldface lie and simply underscores your lack of ethics...

Besides from selling basic needs (ice, milk, beer, wine, etc), there’s ice cream (try the salted caramel cashew!!), a nice cafe with an outdoor deck, and gorgeous gift shop with tastefully sourced items.
In addition, a pub is on its way on the 2nd floor and that also has outdoor seating. Can’t wait for it to open!
