Clear Creek Commissary — Local services in Killeen

As long as you do not need customer service, this place has decent pricing for certain items. I actually decided to buy here for the first time in 6 years because I received a promo coupon from the Secretary of Defense office and decided to check it out. I will admit that my mistake was to pay almost $300 before using the coupon. After that, it was downhill because I requested an override from management in order to scan the coupon, and the manager would not even come out to speak to me. Then, the cashier across from the customer service desk made a loud comment, saying, "I do not know why they sent out those coupons, setting us up for failure." In the end, I just left, and I do not recommend this place to anyone. It is very weird how a large portion of civilians that work on Post are so rude to servicemembers and veterans, and the post commander never does anything to ensure quality customer service. I guess that just like every other place, they get the position for a notch on their belt and then neglect the exact same people they are supposed to provide a service that is supposed to be second to none. I guess they do not make leaders like...

This place is going downhill. Everytime I shop there I kick myself for not going to HEB. The produce is rotten and the selection is not good at all. I am big on produce and dont wanna pick around rotten stuff (yuck). Many of the cans I purchased recently come to find out were... dented those shouldnt have even been on the shelf to begin with. The baggers are extremely nice but the rest of the staff is rude especially the people in produce or stocking the shelves. The workers stockng the shelves block the aisle and look at you like its your fault you cant get by. Especially the toilet paper and energy drink aisle those were the worst..I would bet HEB is whopping them because the selection and service is a 100 times better there. I dont plan on visiting this commissarry again I felt like my last visit was my final straw. Shape up commissary and earn back your customers because you are slowly going downhill. I will pay extra if that means I dont have a rude employee stocking toilet paper sigh at me when I say excuse me so I can get by. And I can get produce that is not rotten and cans not dented....

Oh boy, where do I start? 1st off, I use 2 luv coming here the prices where good, & I'd find almost everything I needed. Then last yr things started 2 decline when I noticed that the meat I had just purchased and was ready 2 cook had a horrid smell, this happened on more than 1 occasion, (usually pork.) The steak was never really fresh always had some sort of freezer burn & tasted dry, (contrary from H.E.B.) The produce is always low on stock, only the remains of what's rotting away is available. The staff can b helpful (sometimes) depends on the day of the wk I guess. So my husband & I stopped shopping here for over a yr, our grocery bill increased by over $400 a month, & we decided 2 return, unfortunately much 2 our surprise, (no not really) nothing has changed.😞 Very disappointed this is no way to feed the Wonderful Men, Women, & future heroes who serve our country. Mayb I'll try the Warrior Way commissary haven't...
