H-E-B — Local services in Killeen

I am writing to commend James from the Deli section at my local H-E-B. James is ALWAYS friendly, courteous and professional, and I can tell that he truly enjoys working for H-E-B. His knowledge of the deli products is very impressive… to the extent that I have ended up purchasing some of the deli meats and cheeses he has recommended – despite the fact that I had initially thought I would not like the combinations. However, may I tell you, James’ recommendations of the different combinations of meats with cheeses were DELICIOUS!!! When I got home, both my husband and I couldn’t stop talking about how unique the combined flavors were, and we THOROUGHLY enjoyed our sandwiches! Not only is James knowledgeable about H-E-B’s products, he is always patient with me when I would like to sample different meats and cheeses. He ALWAYS greets me with a friendly smile and is more than willing to talk me through the differences between certain deli products. He has even come out onto the floor (more than once) to direct me to other deli options that have been packaged and are out on the floor. In my times of interacting with James, I have taken special notice of his cleanliness when getting ready to prepare my orders. At various times, I have witnessed James washing his hands, putting on a change of gloves and properly preparing the fresh cuts of meat and/or cheeses I am purchasing. I do not take this for granted, as I have witnessed other deli workers (not necessarily at this particular HEB) who have not been as conscientious about sanitation practices. As a teacher of many years, I believe that James would make an excellent trainer and/or manager because of his positive disposition, his patience in answering questions, his good communication skills and the care he puts into providing his customers with the best products and service that H-E-B has to offer. James is a wonderful employee who not only takes great pride in his job, but who also cares about the customers who patronize H-E-B. He was also kind enough to allow me to take this picture of him! I'm visiting from North Carolina and mom sent me to HEB to pick up a few things. Truth be told I am not the one to be in a grocery store for long a long period of time even when I'm shopping for myself. I really do not enjoy shopping. I'm normally out of a grocery store within 40 minutes. This was my very first time visiting HEB and I must say I walked around ,picked up a few items, and walked around some more just two see what H-E-B had. The store is very clean and well-organized and well-stocked. I really enjoyed this store. As I was leaving I was walking past the jewelry store inside of HEB and attempted to drop in but I decided not to. As I was getting ready to leave out of the door I noticed an area near the door with flowers and balloons. I saw this Rose in a round glass ball that was filled with some type of liquid. It was so beautiful I had to have it so I went back to the register and paid for it . Once again I was walking past the jewelry store so I went inside the jewelry store and bought a pair of diamond stud earrings. I wish there was a HEB in Charlotte North Carolina because this would be my favorite store. I love, love, love HEB. Their meats look so fresh and the bakery sweets looked very attractive and delicious. I went back to my mom's house and told her I would never ever go back to HEB because I did not want to leave. I went to the H EB on stand schluter today and I was picking up some products for bathing the sign said 188 underneath all the bathing soaps for For the caress Soap There was 2 rows of the soaps underneath the sign There is also a dollar coupon saying if you bought the caress soap you would receive a dollar off I thought OK I'll get to the bottles and I'll pay 88 cents on around I looked again there was more so spot I like the other soaps on the other side I thought OK this is kind of funny so I went and asked the clerk OK are these a $88 and she looked as she said oh no these on a $88 why would assume that she would have given me one for the price for a diary date since they were already under that as they worse labeled under dollar rate which is what she should have done I don't appreciate the fact that I had to pay full price for something that was labeled under a sign for a $88 common common courtesy would have been to give me 1 for the 188 and the other 1 I would have paid full price for that was false advertisement if that's the way then maybe they should pay attention to there marketing when posting signs 🤔. She also removed the sign real quick ,even though the right thing to do was to give me one at the price they were under and pay regular price for the other. Very...
