UPDATE: 4/27/21 Went today around 12:30 again and I was prepared for the chaos, but it was my only break in the day and I needed the coffee boost. The line wasn't super long, but it grew quickly after I got in line. I was pleasantly surprised by the organization of the staff taking orders. They didn't seem frazzled even though the line was growing, they were patient and friendly like the few times I went to Dutch Bros before 4/23. The person that took my order also let me know "you'll be going behind this truck"...small changes makes for big improvements and I say GOOD JOB YALL! People waiting in line didn't seem to be fighting where the lines combine, & letting customers know where their place was in line seemed to help with the traffic pattern. I ordered 2 drinks this time (compared to 1 drink on 4/23) but I got my order before I even reached the window. Keep it up yall!
PREVIOUS REVIEW: 4/23/21 Normally I have a great time at Dutch Bros but today was particularly frustrating because of the lack of organization and wait time. The way the drive thru is set up makes it easy for people to cut in line or cut you off even when there should be a back and forth pattern between the lines. A blue car cut in front of 10 people including myself because they cut in from the heb gas station even though there was a line already formed behind verizon & papa johns. I feel like that side should be blocked off with cones if other people are already waiting.
The wait staff is usually very friendly & fast but they seemed a little disorganized today. I try to give them grace especially around 12 because I understand that’s usually their busiest time, but they weren’t paying attention to the pattern of customers and I heard one of them even ask if they took my order, while 2 cars behind me that went in the other lane got their orders taken. The staff that finally took my order was friendly, and I could tell she was trying to help but she seemed frazzled. After I got my order taken...I was following the usual traffic pattern between the lines and a customer in a gray Camry cut me off even tho we got our order taken at the same time. I just feel there needs to be more organization or something to remedy the craziness at 12/1.
I got there at 12:30 (usually when they’re busy the longest I’ve waited is maybe 15-20 mins max) but I didn’t get my order til 1:22. Even when I got to the window the cashier initially gave me the wrong drink & I understand it was busy, she apologized, but organization & wait time definitely needs improvement.

Read moreI hate leaving bad reviews but this location has been nothing but a disappointment especially considering it is nothing like the original Dutch bros in the northern states. Everyone always has an attitude for whatever reason or is grossly prying with forced conversation. Coffee tastes burnt half the time, or today being the last straw and the last time I'm going. I ordered 2 Large hot drinks, wasn't asked if I wanted them hot. No problem, I verified (with no attitude mind you) and the lady with the Medusa piercing responded with what seemed to be an inconvenience that I made sure I requested the drinks to be hot. Whatever brushed that off. Waited for my drinks and same lady comes out with 2 sizes. One large and one medium. I don't like saying my order is messed up half the time because I know it's very fast paced. But for 2 drinks plus tip to come out to 15 bucks I kind of want what I asked for. I simply said "it was suppose to be 2 larges". She said nothing, turned around and started to walk off. Turns around again gives me the large one. Goes back in, and no more than 20 seconds someone else comes out with the "correct" drink. I take a sip after saying thank you and driving off just to feel cold milk or soft top added in a large cup. The past few times I have been to this particular location, they have burnt the coffee. So much that more creamer doesn't help even a little bit. Normally we would just let them know and ask for a new cup and they're awesome with replacing and never have an attitude (rare for Killeen) so that's truly awesome, but this time that wasn't an option as my husband bought coffee and brought it home to me while working. There ain't nothing like your first sip of coffee making your face scrunch up bc it's burnt and bitter :( can't get a replacement bc were 10 minutes away from it. I dont like doing negative reviews at all, but multiple times of a coffee shop burning the coffee kinda needs to be mentioned. The first time it happened, they were slammed so I let it go, got my replacement and said it is what it is. The next time was like hm.. thats odd bc they were super busy but ya know. Then this time and it's like we'll dang.. guess it's a trend lol Anyway, TASTE IT BEFORE YOU DRIVE OFF. When it's good, it's great!
