Took a chance on attending this pool I have never been to. The $17 fee although excessive, was the most pleasant part of the entire experience. My son wanted to jump off the diving board so we waited in line and jumped off of one of two diving boards that were available. As soon as I hit the water, I hear the lifeguard reprimanding me about how I had to exit the pool from the wall (ADA compliant??) and how the people who jump off the diving boards are supposed to go one at a time. no signage, no heads-up , but OK no problem I will get out of the poolâŚ.
I then hear this Lifeguard shout to me.â Any day now.â ⌠as if I am not swimming to the wall and getting out of the pool fast enough. I immediately walked up to that little lifeguard person and asked to repeat what was said. They actually stood there and ignored me until I walked away. It wasnât until I had completely walked away and turned around that we made eye contact and he was smiling, completely proud of his rudeness and disrespectful manner. (Racially motivated⌠maybe) I never jumped off of the board again, (experience ruined!) but sure did notice all the other people there jumping 2 at a time /whenever they wanted and getting out at the ladder as I shouldâve been allowed to do. If there is a rule for safety, I understand it and I will abide by it, but apply it consistently across all your patrons not just the ones with dark skin. I will never go back to that pool again!!!! Weird vibes!!!!!! Subpar...
Read moreI am a season pass holder and recently had an experience where there were major miscommunications. Knowing the competition pool closed at 3pm on swim meet days (June 26th), I got there at 2pm to have an hour to swim laps. When I arrived, there was a written sign that said "Comp Pool closes at 2pm" (right behind the original PRINTED sign that says "pool will close at 3pm"). The workers at the desk were not aware of the original sign and apologized for any inconvenience. As I entered, people were still swimming in the competition pool. I spoke to a lifeguard who informed me the area would be closed at 2:30, so, I proceeded to swim for what I thought would be thirty minutes. I was kicked out at 2:20 because they had to start setting up. (I understand set-up takes time, but the swim lanes were not used at all as the dive team started warming up.) What I am most frustrated about is that there was no one "in charge" to speak with about this issue. I am not going to get angry with young adults/teenagers for something they have no control over. Unfortunately, the special half-price on swim meet days doesn't help anyone with a season pass. Please have better communication with your members. It is inconsiderate of people's time and money. Am I to assume now that the comp pool closes at 2 on all swim meet days? I'll...
Read moreI was very disappointed in my experience here and will never come back. This was my first time swimming here and my friend and I brought our kids for toddler time. When first arriving I had brought a swim floaty for my infant daughter to sit in (the round kind for babies that have a little cover over it for shade). After putting her in it and starting to swim a life guard came and told me they donât allow those because they canât see the bottom of the pool ( I thought it was dumb, but understood). I was upset because the guy that you pay to enter had not said anything when he seen me have it walking in. Another thing I was VERY upset about was after the toddler time was done and our kids were drying I was breast feeding my daughter in one of the chairs on the pool deck. The same life guard proceeded to come up to me to say I couldnât breastfeed on the deck because it was âunsanitaryâ. I was in shock and embarrassed to have the life guard say this to me, making me feel ashamed to be feeding my daughter (when itâs not something I should feel ashamed of). I will never be coming back to this pool again. Which was a shame because it was our first time and my son & his friends enjoyed going down the...
