Top 10 Reasons I Hate QR Menu Codes: the Selfie-Stick of the Restaurant World
Sterile Interaction Environment – the only times I want a sterile environment is in my food prep and when I am on an operating table under anesthesia; Time – I could have interacted with someone (see prior comment on sterile environment) and told them what I wanted in 20% of the time it took me to scroll through and decipher a menu on a 6.7” diagonal screen; Choices – sometimes, I just need a quick discussion with a human being to decide between options A or B; Food Allergies – while I have none, sometimes my dining companions do have special dietary needs, and need guidance on choices before desperately reaching for their epi pens; Digital Onslaught – if I wanted more screen time, I could have just stayed at work; Digital Distractions – put the phone down, please!!! Restaurants should be about eye contact and verbal exchanges, not another excuse to pick up phones and check FB; Normality – as we are almost three years removed from the dark shadow of COVID, it is time to reignite human interaction and dialogue (give me a waiter/waitress); Impersonal – if I wanted cold and impersonal, I would have stayed in my basement and ordered DoorDash; Anonymity – if I wanted anonymity, I would have hit the pause button on Dungeons and Dragons and not come into your restaurant; Lack of Connections – You don’t know my name. Read moreRead some of the other reviews, and couldn't disagree more. Really cool space. Indoor seating, seating in an indoor/outdoor patio area, and then some outdoor seating. You get to sit wherever you want, and the ordering is easy/convenient. QR codes for food, as well as drinks. Technically Peacemaker and 4hands are separate, so you will have 2 separate tabs, but still easy to navigate. The food was DELICIOUS. I was just in Boston last week and ate multiple lobster rolls. The lobster roll at Peacemaker was as good, if not better, than anything I had out there. Price was right on point at $37. Yes - that is an expensive sandwich, but it's lobster. That's what a good lobster roll is going to cost you. Lots of lobster meat, great flavor in the dressing (I had the Maine Roll, which is served cold). I had fries instead of the chips. Solid fries. My sister had the shrimp poorboy and chips - she said it was amazing. I tried the homemade chips - crunchy and seasoned well. Poorboys are at a lower price point for those that dont want to spend up for lobster. There are plenty of options that won't break the bank. I will definitely be back to try other things....

Then put a little off by 'on line ordering', but going to the counter was an acceptable option, except that drinks were at one counter and food was at another. But then, a young male server (his name was something like 'Bredo') came to our table and offered to take our food orders. He was very courteous, made the food ordering easy and eased my earlier concerns. He should be commended for his work. My buffalo crawfish and collard greens very good, and everyone enjoyed their peel & eat shrimp, fish sandwich, and chopped salad. My only lingering put-off's are, 1. the separate ordering and paying for drinks, I would think having a partnership with a brewery you would want to make beer ordering as easy as possible, and 2. being out of the seasonal salad, I would think you should be well prepared for a...
