The Minifig Shop — Local services in Kirkwood

I was recommended this store by my best friend, fellow Lego lover and mom of Lego lovers. If I were a child, I would not want to leave this place! I had my parents take my son there and then took both my boys and entire family. It is a genius idea: a Lego consignment store! I love the store because it combines my two favorite things: a creative hobby and sustainability. The store is meticulously organized, with complete sets in their boxes, quality controlled available, special mini figs in the glass cases where the cashiers and managers work, and completed Lego sets, in and without boxes in glass display cases around the periphery of the store. There is a separate room for parties/special events where two employees were taking inventory of newly consigned sets. There are bins were you can fill bags or create your own mini figs based on certain perimeters. I could spend hours in this store with my son! I would certainly come back. I love the environmental impact of this store and how it creates community. You could tell there were people of all ages and backgrounds who were regulars and new visitors, like me. Awesome place, better staff. All of the guys at the store are patient and knowledgable. My son and I went in a week ago and they help him put together the perfect minifig along with weapons, etc. I went back last week by myself due to my son wanting a zip line set up. Even though the place a bustling with adults and kids alike, they advised me where to look and what to look for. It was the only item I needed. I went to pay for it and they told me , "Just take it"(Granted it was a couple very small pieces, but the thought behind it was enormous. I was shocked. The store will thrive and survive due to their staff- period. I will be going back, and advising all my friends to do so as well. This place is literally heaven on Earth. I cannot believe I went so long without knowing that this store existed in the heart of Kirkwood. Not only do they have a wonderful selection of new Lego sets, the also have many preowned and prebuilt sets at a discount. They ALSO have a wide range of collector sets, possibly the biggest selection that I have ever seen.

It was so cool to be able to visit this place and see many unopened lego sets from my childhood, if only I had held on to some of them! I really think that you could spend an hour in this store just browsing. This would also be a good place to try to find that missing piece you need for your build or an old, discontinued mining.
