The OBX Cigar Lounge is a hidden gem in the dunes. Rocco greeted us as soon as I walked into the humidor and offered any help. I explained I was going to make a pick and he immediately invited me to join the guys to smoke with them. I happily accepted.
This joint is a little bit hard to find. Look for the Tap That Bar, but parking has to be a bit farther away if the bar is busy. Lots of warning signs about getting towed if you park in a wrong spot. But this place is worth a walk.
Once you have your seat and your cigar is lit, do yourself a favor and get the Old Fashion from the bar. They are not affiliated with OBX but they share space and you can get a drink and enjoy.

Wandered past the bar and the game tables and went into the cigar shop.
There we met Bo. Wonderful selection for such a small spot. Bo was lovely to talk to and made it seem like we knew him for years. They had a bench top slicer but no matches to go.
Bo loaned me his torch so I could enjoy my purchase on my way home. Will certainly have to visit in the future next time I’m down. Bummed I found this so late into the vacation.

The humidor is very well stocked and accommodating for all palates, whether sweet/mild, medium or bold and full-flavored, they've even got a few sticks I'd not heard of or had the pleasure of trying yet.
