KROGER LIQUOR STORE ONLY This Kroger, itself is great. However, the Kroger liquor store is a different story. The manager (at least I assume he was the manager) of the liquor store (older gentlemen with a fumanchu mustache) has been, on several occasions, the least welcoming and least pleasant person to deal with as a customer. The first day I went in to ask for a certain type of wine for a gift, he was extremely short and grumpy. I gave him the benefit of doubt, knowing we all have bad days. But on multiple multiple visits he has been short and rude in his responses. He doesnt help the customer with simple questions, and seems annoyed that you are there to buy anything. Which, usually if you manage a store or are trying to sell a product, you would think you would want to provide a smile, friendly conversation, and try to be pleasant as possible. But apparently he does not believe in selling the product or providing any type of service. Maybe he thinks the store is just a Liquor museum, and only for display. It's a shame, because so many people also have this exact interaction on a too common basis with this man. I hope everything is all good for him personally, but just like what grandpa always said: treat people with respect, and they'll buy your liquor. Grandpa didnt say that, but seriously, I would recommend any other liquor store...
Read morePros: Easier and quicker than shopping @ Walmart (because of parking lot, more cashiers, and a much better U-scan center, good customer service, free piece of fruit per child while shopping, Starbucks, Western Union@customer service desk, 5/3 bank, florist, helium balloon center & pharmacy(also a drive thru for pharmacy) in store, liquor store attached, Kroger gas station in same parking lot, fresh meat case, deli &bakery (fresh donuts made daily, soups available, those 30¢ cornbread rectangles by the soup are amazing), sometimes has events I.e. basket raffles, Easter Bunny pics, mascots & Face-painting etc., scratch-off vending machine. Card loyalty program offers good deals and discounts on gas. Newspaper boxes out front & many free magazines and apt/housing/auto trade mags free in lobby. Weekly sales ad. In lobby next to cart sanitizing wipes. Cons: Only Kroger I know that isn't open 24 hrs., closes around 11pm. Low product selection in comparison to other locations & competitors. Bad at keeping items stocked. Have been rearranging store often, costumers complain that items are hard to find and grouped weird. While prices are good on some items others are wildly overpriced and fail to give discounts for bulk or larger packages. Sometimes there's a rotting seafood...
Read morePlease avoid this store at all costs. For three years, I’ve received nothing but spoiled milk, eggs, bread, and produce when I do clicklist. When I shop in stores assuming I was just given the bad food, I see most other foods are the same way, with gnats everywhere. Attached is some of my produce from the clicklist order I picked up an hour ago. Not pictured are two packages of strawberries engulfed in white fuzz.
Staff are gross and don’t even care to hide it. They chain smoke outside, pick their noses while handling food and money, it’s truly a sight to see.
To make things worse, the substitutions make absolutely no sense. Thai basil was replaced with thyme and breakfast sausage patties were replaced with bratwursts. At this point, I’m worried about the education system out here. Just a complete and total shot show.
I avoided this place for as long as I could, but the convince of it being the only grocery store near me today won. The produce I received was for my 11 month old baby. Clearly I can’t any of this to him or else he’s get sick. I filled up a whole trash can of bad food today, what a waste of money. I will be contacting the health department tomorrow. I should have done...
