The FOX LJ — Local services in La Junta

The Fox Theatre in La Junta is pretty nice, it’s definitely a dated cinema but with lots of old school coziness and elegance. I love the character of older buildings so there was definitely a bit of nostalgia that factored into my rating for here. But the staff working the ticket booth and concessions were friendly and fast, the tickets were super cheap, and that really helps this theatre score well in our book. We saw Endgame here a couple years ago and it was a really fun showing. Every seat in the house was packed because there was a lot of hype surrounding the release of that MCU movie, and the small town vibes were exciting and really built a lot of hype for the action. Some little kids got too excited and their mom had to escort them out a couple times, so I agree with other reviewers when they say it’s a bit noisy on the popular showings. great theater and they try to stay up with the most current movies even having the sneak previews, the screens are tiny though, but they are limited to room. a few times in the dead of winter, especially during the rogue one release they had at 9pm, they wanted people to purchase early and line up and wait and allow a small number of people in at a time only it was freezing outside and the employees inside were just standing around laughing, and doing nothing, they had already swept up, and it was well past 9pm until they unlocked the doors, but thats really only once in the years i've gone.. they do...

We decided to go back to the movie theater this week after over two years. Wow! The Fox Theater was rennovated with class and style. Everything was clean and the snack bar was very organized. The employees were professional, friendly and wearing uniforms. The new seats are comfortable . The manager and his team are proud to be part of the continuing history of the Fox Theater.
