Starbucks — Restaurant in La Puente

My experience is with the drive thru. I ordered 2 pikes. My cup was scalding hot since I ordered it without cream or sugar. Please take note Starbucks and be more diligent with the portion when filling the cup. I noticed the coffee leaking out from where the top of the cup meets the inside of the lid. Then the coffee just spilled out onto my left hand since I was supporting the cup with that hand while holding it with my right. A couple ounces of coffee spilled on my left hand, left knee and lower thigh and the floor. When I check the level of coffee left in cup, it was at the normal height you’d expect in a cup. So the amount originally given to me was obviously to the top. My husband was driving and luckily he had no issue with his cup of pike. Since we already were on the road, I had my husband drive me to a nearby gas station to put a cold can on my hand and knees. The skin on my hand was cooking..literally.

**update: As per the response from Starbucks, I went to their website’s customer service…I chatted with an agent , then called them on a number given to me. They messaged the team at this location to bring it to their attention and gave me a credit on my Starbucks app. I’m now raiding...

This location has no in store pick-up but you can order and go in and pick it up or get it in the drive-thru. It’s seems like some weird technicality they have. If you do drive-thru on the weekdays, there could be traffic issues. The drive-thru is at a weird angle and cars can get lined up to the street. It gets a little tricky. I bought a caramel cream cold brew. It was ok. Not too much ice, which is good, but they were a little cheap on the caramel. Staff was fast at preparing. My biggest problem with this location is that it’s extremely dirty. The tables had visible gunk like a dirty rag was used. Someone had spit on the window where I was sitting. There were spiderwebs in the upper corners. There was a lot of dirt on the floor. It didn’t look like it had been swept the night before and there was a build up of dirt in the corners indicating it hadn’t been cleaned very well. A broom is $9. This is a brand new opening Starbucks with a GREAT location. The sign is SO BIG, you won't miss it.

The overall design of the Starbucks is very modern and nice.

Not sure if it is built to protect from the Coronavirus, but the inside working area is protected by the sliding windows.

The staffs are nice and this store is OK to use the points to redeem for the free items.

However, today the store can NOT offer my FAVORITE pink drink (no more ingredients ) so the staff suggested me to try the Violet drink.

I was happy to try the Violet drink (because it's another FRUITY drink ) but I was SAD about the result. The taste grade was B- , but I will NOT order it again.

I will be back again to this location because it's very convenient and it has good service.
