So I walked into the Forked River AT&T store back in April 2022 and sat down with Tom the store manager about leaving T-Mobile and joining AT&T if they had a good deal. Tom proceeded to tell me that he could match my bill from T-Mobile and supply my family with four new iPhone 13‘s and Apple watches with no increase in my bill. He assured me that there would be bill credits that would occur over the first couple months that would cover any charges for the watches and/or phones and my bill would be the exact same as it was with T-Mobile. Six months later after having to involve AT&T corporate I was able to get my bill down but still $60 a month more than I was paying with T-Mobile. The store manager Tom and district manager Barry continue to give me the runaround and excuses as to why AT&T has still not provided the credits but as far as I’m concerned this has been a classic bait and switch and unless Tom or Barry can come through on their promises they are nothing more than scammers. I would be happy to change my review if the credits are actually applied however until that point happens I will be leaving AT&T union soon as possible.
UPDATE 5/25/23
So, after speaking to the corporate office that owns this particular AT&T franchise (The Wireless Experience based in Manahawkin, New Jersey), they are making sure that I am getting the proper credits issued. I also believe the employee named Tom who ran that store and screwed me was either fired or moved to a different location as I no longer see him there.
UPDATE 6/20/23
So I had been receiving the credits towards the bills however now that Barry the district manager has either left or been fired I am no longer getting the credits due and right back to square one getting screwed every month. I have reached out to Jennifer Quinn from The Wireless Experience in Manahawkin, who owns that particular franchise, but have still not...
Read moreAT&T customer service has declined heavily over the past few years. Outages are occurring more often. The cell service is very poor. My account has been hacked multiple times and there has been internal commission fraud going on with the company for a long time. I’ve been trying to have someone from AT&T Help me for five months now to remove unapproved lines on my account and additional charges. It’s a major problem. I’ve waited on hold for hours just to be disconnected and then I have to start the whole process over again. Whenever they tell me that the problem is fixed, it isn’t fixed. This is just a complete disaster, I would highly recommend you go to someone else. They hire people that have no idea how to solve problems. Dealing with Asurion and AT&T is a disaster. They do not work together. They are pretty much independent so if you have a problem with one, the other can’t help. I just complicates things further. They will issue you a new device through Insurance but will issue you the device under the wrong phone number which will then blacklist a family‘s phone number. No one from Asurion or AT&T knows how to fix the problem. I’ve talked to multiple corporate stores. They can’t help, I’ve talked to people Through the AT&T loyalty phone number and they can’t help. This is just extremely...
Read moreI hate leaving this score because the 2 salesman, Michael and Michael, were aces. Since moving to the area I’ve come to these guys for everything from my phones to my direct tv but unfortunately I will not come back.
I came in to buy phones and both Michaels made the experience pleasant, but the newer manager (didn’t get his name but he has tattoos on his arm) was absolutely horrendous. Was on his phone the entire time, when I tried asking him questions he acted like he didn’t hear me, and treated me like I was inconveniencing him with my presence and buying products.
It wasn’t just me either. Other customers came in while I was there and he was very eager to turn them away without any solution. Michael, our salesman, actually had to yell across the sore to give the managers customers a solution. Quite frankly I’ve never seen a more inattentive manager of a store.
Really never felt more unwelcome in a store before and quite frankly don’t want to do that again so unfortunately I will not be returning. I’ll make the trip to the corporate store in Manahawkin or to Best Buy instead.
UPDATE:
I spoke with the regional manager Dan who was very polite and said he would look into the issue. I will go back to this store but only if I’m dealing with the 2 Michael’s. They were truly...
